Beef Smoked Sausage Stew

In case you can’t tell, I like the number 3. They say good things come in threes. I often feel like I’m being pulled in three different directons (hence, my blog name!). And of course my family is the perfect size for me, just the three of us.

So when I was told about an offer beginning today at our local Safeway affiliate store, Tom Thumb, for ‘SAVE $3 when you buy ANY THREE (3) participating Hillshire Brands products’ when using the rewards card…

Dinner, Naturally – Chicken Broccoli Spaghetti

Going grocery shopping can often be overwhelming.  There are so many choices and so many brands.  What’s so great about living where we do is that from boxed goods to dairy and frozen foods to meat, we as consumers have the ability to choose what is best for our families when buying ingredients for meals.

It’s refreshing to see companies, like NatureRaised Farms® brand, committing to “Doing What’s Right, Right from the Start.”

Pumpkin Caramel Café Latté Recipe – Connecting Over Coffee with Family & Friends

My love affair with coffee didn’t quite start out that way.  Actually I started drinking coffee to make a point rather than because I enjoyed the taste.  I was 15 and working at a summer job and one of my duties was to make the coffee for the office staff.  By golly, if I was going to make the stuff, I was going to drink the stuff.  And that’s how my obsession started.

Dessert for Brunch – a Fun Tailgating Recipe with Milky Way Bites

Game day.  The TV is always on in our home.  We’ve been a little disappointed with the performance of our team (yes, we were Cowboys fans even before we moved to Dallas) as of late they’ve been leaving a bit of a sour taste in our mouth.  So on Sundays when the games are at noon, we like to make those games a tiny bit sweeter even when our ‘Boys’ are fumbling the ball.  Dessert for Brunch makes a great tailgating treat and this past week I made some Cake Batter Pancakes with Milky Way Bites that help take the sting out a bit when the Cowboys lose 😉

Family, Food & Football – that’s what it’s all about in fall, am I right?!

While some people like the wings and the nachos, our family we head right to the sweet treats.  And the more chocolate the better.  I’m so glad that I’m part of the eMeals blogger network (and because of that, I get some free menu plans to help me feed my family – and if you click any of the links to sign up … I’ll earn a bit of cash, so thanks) even before I became a part of it, it was my go to place to find the best recipes that are

Pinecone Popcorn Balls

One of my favorite things to eat is popcorn.  I love it.  Buttered, savory, sweet.  Any of those ways is a good way to eat popcorn.  I have made a couple of recipes of sweet popcorn mixes before on my blog, but I’ve never done popcorn balls before.

It made me especially happy to see Good Cook doing a Popcorn Event this month.  They sent their Kitchen Experts a range of products to create tasty popcorn balls to kick the event off.

Quick ‘N’ Easy Chicken Parmesan Recipe

I try to meal plan I really do, but some weeks go better than others.  Okay, okay if I’m going to be honest, most weeks I start and my meal planning maybe gets up to Wednesday if I’m really lucky Thursday.  That leaves for a lot of unplanned meals in a week.  Having my pantry and freezer stocked with items from Sam’s Club helps.

If you’ve followed my blog for any length of time, you’ll know that it when it comes to food, I like easy.  That doesn’t mean I want to sacrifice taste, it just means I like short cuts.

Rocky Road Ice Cream Sliders

Seriously, it is still SO HOT here in North Texas.  Sunday it was 106 degrees!  We saw rain for the first time in over a month on Labor Day, and I’m so ready for a cool breeze.  Give me a few years and I’ll likely be used to it, but right now this northern girl is M.E.L.T.I.N.G.

We’ve been attending a church with Saturday evening services since we moved, which is an awesome thing because my husband works on Sunday mornings, so we can go to church as a family and worship together.  We’ve been hitting up the 7-Eleven or Marble Slab Creamery on the way home each week for either Sluprees or ice cream.
