Let’s Get Stuffed – Three Cheese Florentine Stuffed Burger! #goodcookkitchenexprt
I love burgers. Mostly because I generally don’t have to make them
. When we have burgers that’s my husband’s domain and he is the King of the Grill…or we go out for burgers. Either way, no cooking for me.
But with the latest Good Cook Kitchen Expert Event, they asked us “What can you stuff in a burger?” So the reins got thrown back to me for dinner as flipping, not creating, burgers is what King of the Grill does.
Peachy-Keen Smoothies
It’s that time of the year. We aren’t ready for summer to end, but we’re heading into autumn. This is a great smoothie recipe that I got from a Family Fun magazine that combines the sweetness of summer peaches with the warm flavors of fall. The best of both!
Country Crock Casserole Club – Mexican Beef & Corn Casserole – Giveaway
Back to school season is always hectic, and Country Crock wants to make your life in the kitchen as seamless and easy as possible. The Mexican Beef & Corn Casserole is the quick and delicious go-to meal to whip up for the hectic school & work week.
Country Crock sent me some products and ingredients as inspiration to put my own spin on a recipe they provided.
Green Tea Mango Energy Smoothie

Mangoes were on sale at the store last week for 48¢, and I had just gotten a package delivered with some Lung Ching Dragonwell green tea from The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf thanks to a Klout perk. So when I was flipping through my August issue of Woman’s Day and saw Joy Bauer’s Energy Smoothie recipe, featuring green tea and mango, well I knew I had to make it.
Chicken Salad with Apples & Radishes
Amber asked for Chicken Salad the other day for lunch. “But not just boring chicken salad Mom, make it interesting.” So I did some searches and found a recipe to adapt from on WomansDay.com. It seems lighter than a traditional chicken salad due to the sour cream I think, and if you’re like some of my readers who think mayo is of the devil, I would think you could substitue the small amount of that with more sour cream also.
Honey Nut O Bites
We’re having guests for dinner on Sunday evening and so I decided I should start making some treats today for dessert. I figured we’d just have some cookies or bars and ice cream to round out dinner.
I’ve been craving something sweet the past few days, so I went into the pantry to see what I could make for Sunday evening and maybe indulge my sweet tooth at the same time. I walked out with a jar of peanut butter half a bottle of honey, sprinkles, some powdered sugar and the container of Cheerios.
Parmesan Broccoli Penne ~ Featuring Bertolli

I hope you know what I’m talking about when I say every once in a while, cooking for my family gets frustrating. Their palates are limited and they each have a few favorites that they want me to make over and over again.
I’m constantly getting creative and interesting recipes in my inbox from companies and brands that want me to make them and share them on my blog. You should see my family’s faces though when I mention ingredients like radicchio and gorgonzola. Yeah, like that.
Roast Beef Apple Avocado Ramen Noodle Salad + Good Cook Kitchen Tools Giveaway

Phew that’s a mouthful of a title for a blog post isn’t it?! I used a roast beef and rice noodle salad recipe from Woman’s Day as inspiration for it, but felt that the apples and avocados were as much a piece of the whole dish as the meat and noodles were, and thus a very long winded (much like this sentence!) recipe title it became.
Brown Rice Recipe Inspired by Triscuit Real Foods

I’m trying to make it a priority to eat healthier in our home. Sometimes that can be hard to do when you’re feeding picky eaters though.
Since we’re big snackers, I’m starting there, replacing chips and cookies with more wholesome options.
Gooey M&Ms Almond Popcorn
If you’re looking for the ultimate popcorn recipe for an epic movie night at home, this is it.
We’ve been spending most of our evenings indoors the past couple of weeks, because it’s so hot. We did venture out to check out our local library the other day, and I borrowed Jurassic Park in 3D on DVD to watch. I decided we had to have something completely yummy to nosh on while we watched it because dinosaurs in 3D are just scary even if they are 20 years old and computer generated, and quite honestly popcorn makes everything better.
