Here’s the dessert we got to see being made from the Pastry Chef aboard the Disney Wonder.  These would make an awesome brunch dish as well!

Fall is the time for baking – with the cooler weather it just seems natural.  Of course seasonally right now apples are a big thing to be baking with, and the other night I made a delicious apple crumble and put a new spin on the recipe by adding Marzetti Fat Free Caramel Dip to it.

I’m headed down to the Dallas/Fort Worth area soon to check it out.  Our daughter is very interested in attending University of Texas Dallas for a BA in Arts and Technology.  The in-state tuition rate is incredibly affordable compared to all the other colleges she’s investigated that offer a degree like that, and so we’re considering relocating. 

When hearing the name Ryan O’Reilly when it comes to a book being published, if you recognize his name, you may think the book has something to do with business or management.  That’s because O’Reilly is the grandson of the O’Reilly Auto Parts founder.  To Nourish and Consume is a fiction novel though and a pretty good read.

It started with one…really that’s all it was, the first picture you’ll see – and I had to take a picture of it, and then, well the signs seemed to be everywhere, and I knew they would make a great blog post so here you have it the Funny Signs I Saw on my 2011 Vacation – these were taken in a variety of locations including, Steveston, BC; Carcross, Yukon; and Juneau, AK.

In bookstores September 2011, Real Life Starring Us by Lisa Greenwald pairs up two very different girls on a school project and takes the reader on a fun ride as they learn to work together and encounter a celebrity all in the name of the school’s anniversary bash.

I’m one of those people who are always cold.  So when I wear skirts and dresses, I need something a bit more substantial than just a pair of pantyhose.  That means I wear a lot of tights. 

One of the neat things on sea days that Disney Cruise Line offers is a series of demonstrations called “Art of Entertaining”.  On our Alaskan cruise my mom and I attended three of these where some of the head chefs on the ship showed us how to make main courses, appetizers and desserts and then we got to taste them!

This is a perfect cookbook for use with little ones in the kitchen!  The recipes are easy to make, don’t take long to cook and your kids will be able to help and you won’t sweat about letting them!

If someone asked me what my favorite candy is, it would be a toss up between white chocolate and candy corn – so imagine my delight to find out that there are new M&M’s Candy Corn White Chocolate this season!
