Master Lock Key Storage Lock Give Away ~ Live Secure
I know there are days when many of us would like to go back in time. To the sleepy, little towns where you could leave your doors unlocked, and never lose a bit of peace that someone would come in and loot everything in your home. I know I’m being a bit idealistic here, but the truth is that in days gone by that’s really how it felt.
Today it doesn’t matter if you live in a city of 100,000, 1 million or 10 million, your home is the target of criminals.
Kaplan Test Prep SAT Course Review Part 3 ~ Practice Tests
After you’ve begun studying Kaplan’s methods for solving test questions, you may wonder if you can test these skills before the real test day. Well not to worry! Kaplan has you covered there too, with four different practice SAT tests. Spacing these practice tests out during the time you plan to study is a surefire way to see if your methods and answers have improved!
Star Spangled Cookies
We’re having a party this weekend, and I’m so excited. My sister and her family are visiting for a couple of days. I haven’t seen my little nephews in over a year. The older one just ‘graduated’ Kindergarten and recently had his 1/2 birthday too. So I decided we’d celebrate both occasions while they are here and made some cookies. With the 4th coming up quickly, I made some patriotic cookies too.
DisneyNature Chimpanzee on Blu-ray & DVD 8/21!
Meet Oscar, the Young Chimp Whose Playful Curiosity and Zest for Discovery Light Up the African Forest
We never did get a chance to see “Chimpanzee” in the theater, and so I’m excited for the release of the Blu-ray Combo Pack (Blu-ray & DVD) release of this documentary on August 21, 2012.
Traveling With Toddlers: Best Destinations
The best family-friendly vacation spots are not confined to those destinations spelled with a
capital ‘Disney’. In fact, there are plenty of places in the USA and Canada with a great reputation for accommodating families and for providing fun activities for children, including toddlers.
Grandma Joan’s Italian Style Meatloaf Recipe
Full disclosure here folks..I don’t have a Grandma Joan. Quite honestly, I don’t even know anyone who has a Grandma Joan!
This recipe came from a Woman’s World magazine a couple of years ago, in their Money-Saving Cooking feature. It was ‘Grandma’ Joan Smith’s from Houston, recipe for Spaghetti & Meatballs. My husband doesn’t care much for meatballs, but he does like a good slice (or two of meatloaf), so I altered the recipe to suit our needs, shaped it into a loaf, and thus was born:
tempurpedic Sleeping at Its Finest

New toys are always fun to get. When we were younger our splurge items were things like electronics. Now you’ll find our “toys” are more along the lines of household goods and relaxing vacations.
This past spring I was able to boast on Facebook that for our newest splurge purchase, my husband and I got a tempurpedic mattress. There were a number of different tempurpedic mattresses that we could have chosen from. We chose the Tempur-Cloud Supreme.
Ice Age: Continental Drift and The Wanted Interview (plus a Give Away!) #IceAge
A couple of weeks ago I had the opportunity along with a number of other fabulous bloggers to interview The Wanted about their involvement with the new Ice Age: Continental Drift movie that’s coming to theaters July 13th.
If you are unaware of this pop band, these guys are HUGE in the UK and even here in the U.S. they have made their mark, they’ve sold over 2 million copies of their track Glad You Came. Their single Chasing the Sun is the “title track” for Ice Age: Continental Drift.
The Wanted is made up of band members Max George, Siva Kaneswaran, Jay McGuiness, Tom Parker and Nathan Sykes.
There were five of us bloggers that got to ask questions of The Wanted, and we covered a lot, so I’m not going to be able to tell you everything we talked about, but will give you some
Tattoo A Banana And Other Ways To Turn Anything and Everything Into Art
One of the best perks of homeschooling is that you get to choose what you do to teach. Amber LOVES art, and we encourage her to draw whenever she can. She’s very talented and is looking into a career where she can use that skill, but this mom/teacher knows that for ‘art class’ we have to broaden our horizons to include more than just drawing.
So we are quite excited to be bringing ‘TATTOO A BANANA and Other Ways to Turn Anything and Everything into Art’ by PHIL HANSEN into our homeschool art class this year.
Disney/Pixar’s Monsters University
Boo! Kitty! Can you believe it’s been 11 years since the beloved tale of Monsters, Inc. was released?! Where does the time go? I loved so many of the lines in that movie, we still regularly yell out “2319” when a sock goes missing from the laundry.
