Like most people, my smart phone has basically become another appendage. I have it with me all the time and it serves as a […]

Scleroderma. Hard Word. Harder Disease.

“This post was sponsored by Scleroderma as part of an Influencer Activation for Influence Central.” Some friends and I went for lunch last year.  One of them had been having some medical issues for a while.  She had had test after test done, and finally got a diagnosis.  While we were sitting at the table […]

Honey Bunches of Oats ‘Bake at Home’ Granola Snackers

February.  That time of the year when things just feel…blah.  The holidays are over, spring still is a while away, many of us are stuck inside for one reason or another and those winter blues kick in.  So with the help of Honey Bunches of Oats ‘Bake at Home’ Granola Snackers I hosted a party at my home, invited some friends and we had a great time talking and snacking those winter blahs away!

A Fresh-Face Forward with Clearasil

Our daughter has never been a girly-girl.  When most 12 or 13 year old girls were begging their mothers to wear make-up, Amber was more interested in beating the high level in the latest video game or trying to memorize Pi to the 104th digit.  I admit as a mom I dropped the ball when it came to getting her into a skin care routine, part of it was because she really only got a pimple here or there at the time, but the real truth is I didn’t want to fight with her over it.

CaringBridge is Kicking-off Its WonderFull Year-end Giving Campaign

As I look back upon the Thanksgiving holiday and perused the online sales on Friday, it still doesn’t cease to amaze me how very much my family has to be thankful for.  We are healthy, have a roof over our heads, eat well, have vehicles to drive and even have the ability to go out and buy gifts for each other just to show we care.  Extremely blessed is what we are.  And so while we give to our church and charities all through the year, during the holiday season we make an effort to give even more where we can to organizations where their benefits touch many.

Quick and Fun Ways You Can Make Your Guest Bathroom Holiday Ready

We like to hold a lot of holiday gatherings in our home.  Inevitably the bathroom is going to get used.  Sometimes it’s just one or two people that ask to use it.  Other evenings it’s like there is a revolving door into it!  It is the first room I clean and prepare when I know we’re having guests, and I like to do a few fun, quick things that make an impression on those who need to use my bathroom.

CaringBridge | A Free Website to Remain Connected to Family & Friends to Receive Support When You Need it Most

Benefit Child With CancerIt was with great shock this past June that a good friend of mine had the news that her 7 year old son had leukemia.  I. Had. No. Words.  All I could do was cry and just imagine what the next number of years held for their family as they walked this difficult road that was placed before them.

Maintaining hope and resolve during a health journey can be a daily struggle.
