The original ball, was made from iron and wood and weighed 700 pounds!

The ball they use today sparkles so brightly because it’s covered in Waterford crystals.

The ball has gained a little weight over the years (much like many of us!!), it now weighs a whopping 11,875 pounds!  Wowee!

I’ve had so much fun “wrapping” up my iPhone in accessories this holiday season. And I just have to share about one of the ways I’ve done that with a gift I got from Levenger.

A little over a week ago, I shared with you a bit about how my family traveled while I was growing up as part of a campaign from Alamo featuring the Then & Now of Family Travel. One of my favorite trips was one to Germany to celebrate my grandparents 50th wedding anniversary. Having no extended family where we live means that Christmas around here is pretty quiet.  Last night we went to church for Christmas Eve service and then we went to go see The Hobbit.  Christmas Day is usually just a time that we sit around and play games together, maybe watch a DVD.  But one thing we always do is have Waffles for Breakfast/Brunch and watch the Disney Christmas Parade.
