Back in summer I shared about Fotor with you.  Fotor is a fun photo editor that is available on computers, tablets and phones.

Fotor recently introduced a new feature that allows you to make a photo slideshow with your pictures. 

The online version is simple and easy to use and the slideshow creator makes you look like you’re a multimedia master.

I got together with some friends a few days ago and one of the things we were talking about was how we were all ‘tightening up the belt,’ so to speak, when it comes to finances partially due to the upcoming holidays.  We were brainstorming ways that we could save a little cash to make gift shopping not as hard on the wallet, and we agreed that we could all forfeit at least one day at the spa in order to use that cash toward holiday spending.

My mom is one of those people who has a natural talent for arranging flowers.  It kind of runs in the family as her aunt and uncle owned a green house way back in the old country and then her cousins now are still in the flower business.  It did however skip a generation, at least with me anyway.  I have a hard time keeping flowers alive much less arranging them for a centerpiece or bouquet.

I’ve never been the type of person that follows beauty trends. I generally buy drugstore make-up and choose what’s on sale without really paying attention to what the benefits (if any) it offers.

A couple of months ago I was able to participate in a local blogging event at a spa and had a mini-makeover done.  When they did my makeup they applied mineral foundation.  I loved both the way it looked and felt on my skin.

As much as we wish it wasn’t reality, crime is always around us.  Thankfully I’ve never personally been a victim of a home or car break-in, identity theft or other serious crimes.  I have experienced vandalism to my home though and part of the reason why is because at the time we weren’t as vigilant or proactive as we could have been to prevent it.

As a Member of the Master Lock Live Secure Safety Squad, I’ve learned that a lot of crimes can be prevented with basic things we can do ourselves.

Our life has changed a lot in the past year and a half.  We sold a home.  Bought a home.  Moved cross country.  My husband turned 50.  I turned 40.  Our daughter graduated from high school.  We took her to college.  Phew!
