I cannot believe that this fall we’ll be entering our last year of homeschooling.  And while we’re still in that phase of our life, I want to share on my blog with you over the next school year some of what we’re doing.  Because come next May, well we’ll be saying ‘auf wiedersehen’ to that tab in our navigation.  (No worries all the posts will still be available through searches if you’re looking for something specific!)

So, I get this e-mail newsletter from a research company called TRU, that polls young people on all different kinds of topics.  In these newsletters they also have a ‘Trend Tracker,’ where they list a few things that are up and coming to those young folk.

This last newsletter had something called “Clipless” featured in it. Users simply place a small disc inside their garment and place the Clipless unit on the outside.

From Marvel, the studio that brought you the biggest super hero movie of all time, Marvel’s The Avengers, comes the next chapter in the powerful world of Tony Stark.

This will be followed by the 3D Super Set, Blu-ray Combo Pack, DVD, Digital Copy and On Demand on September 24, 2013.

Hard to believe it’s July 4th already, isn’t it?!  This is one of my favorite days of the year.  But this year it will be bittersweet. 

For the past number of years now we’ve celebrated the 4th with Amber’s best friend’s family…whose mom also happens to be my bestie as well.  We hang out, the girls do their thing, we eat, we eat some more, then we eat s’mores, and then her husband puts on a fireworks show for us all.

Just 7 more days folks, and then we’re outta here!  This is what my home has looked like for the last 4 weeks.

I can hardly handle one child on a good day!  Can you imagine having 533 biological children?!  Only in the movies right…and so it is!  

In the film, Vince Vaughn plays an affable underachiever looking for his purpose in life, when he finds out he’s fathered 533 children though anonymous donations to a fertility clinic 20 years ago.  Now he must decide whether or not to come forward when 142 of them want to meet their biological father.

If the general public isn’t aware that Back to School is going to be happening for some of us at the end of August, they’ll just have to walk into any retail store in about two weeks and it will be pretty apparent. 

Back to School prep can be time consuming and stressful, we want to be sure that when our kids walk out the door that first day they have everything they need.

Fire up the grill, dust off your hammock and prep your pool because summer is here!
