Tips and Ideas for Fun Family Activities in July!
Yippee…summer is here! The kids are out of school and looking for adventure. When the family is out and about, think about taking along some healthy snacks so you don’t load up on empty calories. Tetra Pak, known for its shelf safe, lightweight packaging has compiled some ideas for family road trips, picnics, healthy snacks and family friendly games. It’s all part of the Milk Unleashed educational campaign to let people know that shelf safe milk is a great solution when you’re on the go.
Summer Gardening with Earth Starter
A little over a week ago I shared with you about Clipless a new mobile gadget that was funding itself through Kickstarter. Interestingly enough, not long after I wrote that post, I received an e-mail about another really neat Kickstarter project by a new garden company called Earth Starter.
Earth Starter is releasing their Nourishmat – a pre-fab, paint-by-numbers 4×6 garden that helps kids and parents learn to grow food together.
Heading On Out
After over a year ago when we first put our home up for sale, we’re finally at the crossroads of making our move down to Texas! We closed on our home here on the 10th, and right now we’re bunkering down in a hotel in town, because we have a wedding to attend later today.
After the reception we’re heading south and we’ll drive for a few hours, so the drive on Sunday down to Texas won’t be quite so long.
Remembering Mom
One of the things about making such a huge move are the many things you can’t take with you. I’ve had to toss and giveaway a lot of household items and beauty supplies. Flammable things and liquids are a no no on a moving truck. We’ve got some plastic containers filled with things to start us out that we’ll take in our cars, so that will help not having to dish out a lot of money right away buying it all again.
The Nightmare Before Christmas on Blu-ray September 10
With all the love for Disney in this house and the boxes upon boxes of Disney DVDs that line our shelves, I’m going to let out a little admission here…I’ve never seen The Nightmare Before Christmas before.
Can it possibly be that this movie was released 20 years ago, and not once in all that time have I watched it?! Shocking, I know!
If you (like me) are actually completely unaware of what this movie is even about here’s a short film synopsis:
