Getting your clothes clean is time consuming and usually ends up at the bottom of a long list of household chores.  The average family does around 400 loads of laundry each year – which is a whole lot of time spent in the laundry room!  Doing laundry doesn’t have to be at the bottom of your list any longer.  With products like Tide and Maytag, and a functional, well-designed space, you can get clothes clean in one wash and have more time to spend with your family and friends.

Any of you that have moved into a new to you home know that it takes a while to get used to the sounds that it makes.  Our house here in Texas sounds incredibly different inside and out than our last home did.  There are lots of bugs and birds making noises.  We live near the airport so we hear a lot of the planes coming in.  And I’m guessing that because of the hot air outside and the air conditioner cooling the house off, we get a lot of contracting and expanding along our roof line and that makes the oddest sounds, especially when it’s quiet(er) at night.

I’m excited to say that Weight Watchers once again, is pulling through to me.  Standing on my digital scale puts me at a one pound loss.

Now before you go “big deal,” “just one pound,” or “that’s really not impressive,” remember the extenuating circumstances surround my last month.

One of the things about moving is that you have to toss all the things that you had that were personalized with your address.  I threw away address labels, address stamps and luggage tags.  Anything that was pre-printed I didn’t have any use for anymore.  I’m hoping that it won’t be long and I’ll be visiting the airport here to go on another trip, and of course that means needing to tag my luggage with something that shows it’s mine.

I am slowly catching up after starting to settle in after our move.  It seems that every time I unpack one box, another one mysteriously appears!  It’s fun and frustrating all at the same time.

If you thought Hot Pockets were ‘so last decade,’ think again.

Yes, they’ve been around for 30 years.  Many of you ate them for after school snacks, or before softball games.. in the eighties… (I promise I won’t squeal about your age if you don’t about mine….)  and so you think that these ‘frozen’ sandwiches are for tweens/teens and maybe if you stretch it, twenty-somethings, but I have something to tell you – don’t pass by the Hot Pockets in the frozen food aisle – just like you, they’ve grown up.

So how many of you have road trips planned for this summer?  Or maybe you’ve already done one and are home already.  As most of you know, my family just completed an 816 mile trip, in not just one vehicle but two, to get to our new home here in Texas (and we did that trip twice in May also).
