Here is another installment of a collection of blog posts from TwitterMoms.  This time around they want bloggers to share five fun family vacation activities that our kids love.  You can see more activities from bloggers where they are posting their links on this TwitterMoms discussion page.

1. Amber’s very favorite activities revolve around that Mouse that hangs out in Florida (sometimes California too I’ve heard!)  He also commandeers a couple of ships that we find ourselves on every year.  Cruise ships are her favorite place to vacation.  Not only do the ships have an amazing amount of activities for the kids, but getting to visit and experience the sights, smells and sounds of the different ports you get to visit is fun and educational!

Well anyone who has been a follower of my blog for a while will know that our family loves Disney.  If you’re new here, just click the Disney link on the navigation bar and you’ll see.

There is nothing quite like a vacation with the mouse, and we have four cruises and numerous Disney World visits to prove it.

But the ultimate trip for us is combining them both; Disney World followed by a Disney Cruise.  We did that in 2008.  We spent three days in Disney World and then took a seven day Caribbean cruise.  It was, as Hannah Montana says, the best of both worlds!

We went on that trip in early December, it was our first time ever visiting during the Christmas season.  If you ever have a chance to book a Vacation package to Disney World at that time of the year you should.  If you go after Thanksgiving and before Christmas the crowds are pretty low too.

Hallmark is celebrating its 100th birthday this year!  That figures out to a lot of special moments celebrated in the lives of people all over the world.  Their first cards were created on engraving presses.  The newest ones…include sound and special effects that you can view with your web cam!

I’m probably one of the only people on the planet who doesn’t watch American Idol, so the name Jason Castro meant nothing to me before I was contacted to review his new self titled CD. 

Quite honestly I was a bit apprensive to listen to the dreadlocked singer as he appeared to be somewhat of a hooligan to this middle aged mama, but I figured I’d give the tracks a once over and send my regrets to the company that contacted me and let them know, his songs just weren’t for me.

Here in the North Central part of the country we’re always a few weeks behind weather wise than everyone else.  When we went on our cruise in April, all the flowers and trees were pollinating, and poor Hubby who suffers horribly from allergies, was sneezing a good amount of the time whenever we were in port.

Now he’s suffering again as here at home we’re going through the pollination season all over again.  Oy, twice in one year!

It’s hard to believe another week is over and it’s the middle of May already!

I’m trying hard to shed the extra pounds I gained on our cruise  I’m down 2.5 and have 3.5 to go.

I have been making it a priority to eat breakfast within 30 minutes of waking up to get my metabolism going.

I’m not a big milk drinker (okay I’m not a milk drinker at all), and usually eat my cereal dry too.  But I received some coupons a bit ago to try Silk’s Pure Almond,

There’s nothing like putting you feet up and relaxing in the evening, while enjoying the aroma of scented candles.

It was so dreary the other day, and so I lit my new Lemon Pound Cake candle from Village Candle as a pick me up.

What a divine scent!  It made my whole home smell like I had been baking all day!  This scent is perfect for spring and summer, because while it still gives you that baking smell, the lemon in it adds a touch of “fresh” to it.
