Happy Saturday!
It’s hard to believe another week is over and it’s the middle of May already!
I’m trying hard to shed the extra pounds I gained on our cruise I’m down 2.5 and have 3.5 to go.
I have been making it a priority to eat breakfast within 30 minutes of waking up to get my metabolism going.
I’m not a big milk drinker (okay I’m not a milk drinker at all), and usually eat my cereal dry too. But I received some coupons a bit ago to try Silk’s Pure Almond, to let you all know my thoughts on it. I’d never even heard of Almond Milk before much less tasted it, and to be honest wasn’t sure what I would think of it. I bought the Vanilla flavored version of it, with the thought that it might be more to my liking.
I can tell you that I added it to my flax cereal, which is very bland, and I have instantly become a fan. I thought the Vanilla variety had just enough sweet in it to peak my taste buds. That’s part of the reason I don’t like milk, is that I don’t like the flavor (yeah, I admit I indulge in Chocolate Milk on occasion!).
The price at my local Hy-Vee the other day for a half gallon was $2.99, so it’s not outrageously out of the ball park cost wise either.
If you think you’d like to try our Pure Almond, register at their website and you can receive a coupon for 75¢ off. While you’re there see the stores in your area that sell Silk Pure Almond.

Gage and I have both been wanting to try that! Regular milk has been making Gage feel sick lately 🙁
I have already joined the "Silk" group as I think this is the better than milk. And with the organic, no sugar added, I can drink it all day in comfort knowing that I am doing something good for me.
I continue to look for non-hormone laden options!
