Do You Remember “Ring Around the Collar”?

I can’t even imagine what it would be like to not have a washing machine in my home.  Convenience means a lot to me and being able to get my family’s clothes washed and dried in two hours, now that’s something my Mother-In-Law probably day dreamed about while she was trying to treat stains with soap flakes and a scrub brush in 1956.

1956 was also the year that Wisk liquid laundry detergent came on the market, the first of its kind.

My parents got married in the mid-sixties, so my Mom

Grills & More! Giveaway

Cleaning a grill is often one of those jobs that no one wants to do.  We enjoy cooking on them and savoring the flavors that come off them, but cleaning them?  Not so much.  The whole idea of grilling is supposed to be no fuss right, but cleaning the grill often is.  However, it doesn’t have to be a messy or arduous task.  Simply use Grills & More! let it sit for 30 seconds or so, then wipe it down with a wet cloth.  If the stuck on food and grease is really stubborn, you may have to repeat it a couple of times.

The best part about Grills & More! is that

Baby Aspen Little Expeditions Giveaway

I was recently introduced to Baby Aspen gifts, and I can’t think of a better way to welcome an infant into the world than with something from their line up of products. Their products are inspired by their tag line Give. Play. Cuddle. Dream.™

Little Expeditions Ekko the Elephant and Jakka the Giraffe are products from Baby Aspen’s safari line.  Oh how I wish that these had been available last year when my nephew was born.  My sister has loved elephants since she was in junior high, and has had collectables of them ever since.  Ekko the Elephant would have made a perfect gift for the little guy when he arrived in the world.

Tough Enough to Wear Pink Giveaway

Pink is a color that every mother hopes to purchase frilly dresses and bows in when they find out they are having a daughter.  Or maybe you think of cotton candy when you think of the color pink.   It isn’t often associated with men (well maybe on the golf course….), especially not those on the rodeo circuit.

Yet last December a sold out crowd at the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo (Wrangler NFR) in Las Vegas, was outfitted in pink.  Yes Pink!  And not just pink wristbands, but hats, shirts and other apparel.

That’s because in 2004, a grassroots cowboy campaign decided,  that they were “Tough Enough to Wear Pink” for the cause of Breast Cancer Research.
