Last year when Wreck-It Ralph was first announced, our daughter was rightly excited about it. As an avid gamer, a Disney film about video games, even arcade games, was enough to have her impatiently tapping her feet. I have not had much time for pleasure book reading in a while. Between resource books and the books Amber is reading for her high school courses, sitting down with a book just to enjoy a story and its characters was shelved for some time. When I was approached to do a review and giveaway of A Plain Scandal by Amanda Flower, I knew it would be a good way to get some down time in for me, and lighten up my reading load a bit too.

Our daughter loves Butterfingers, and it was a sad day in our home when she started orthodontic treatment that lasted almost 8 years in total where those crispety, crunchety, peanut-buttery, chocolaty treats were off limits in her mouth. I’m both giddy and a bit anxious on attending my first blog conference in March. I’m going to Blissdom in Dallas, and am hoping to not only solidify some blog friendships that I’ve made online, but network with brands and PR as well.
