Let’s Get Outside! Active Family Project Playdate Promise
Compared to most families I admit that we do stay indoors a lot. We’re very fair and burn easily and we don’t like the cold much at all (good thing we’re moving to Texas right?!). But despite that we probably spend more time outdoors than I actually let on. Especially when we go on vacation. Funny how that is.
I have so many great memories of the active things we’ve done when we’ve traveled. It’s been such a pleasure to take in the sights, sounds and wonder of our daughter over the years getting to do and see things a lot of people only get to dream of.
Pocket Like It’s Hot: A Nestlé Hot Pockets Experience
Back at the beginning of May I had the chance, along with some other great bloggers, to spend a day at Nestlé Prepared Foods learning about all things Hot Pockets. (That’s a perk of being a part of the very first Hot Pockets Blogger Advisory Board!)

How are you doing on those resolutions?
As we say good-bye to the month of June, it is the perfect time to take a good look at how you’re doing on the resolution front.
It’s one thing to make grand proclamations about what you’ll accomplish when you’re wielding a glass of champagne and quite another entirely to actually do the hard work to achieve your goals.
Blueberry Pancake Syrup
I think I may have mentioned a time or two on my blog before that I love pancakes. It’s one of those foods that I could eat every day and probably never get tired of them. In what feels like the never ending supply of food in my pantry and freezer that we need to use up before we move, I tweaked a recipe that I had from the National Honey Board, and made pancakes with a blueberry syrup the other morning.
Rockin’ Raspberry Smoothie
Smoothies are one of my favorite quick, healthy things to make, and this recipe is perfect, it was even slurped up by the pickiest of eaters. It’s good for hot summer days and it’s simple to make. You could really add any of your favorite fruit instead of raspberries and make this smoothie all your own.
Disney’s “Teen Beach Movie”
“Teen Beach Movie,” is an exuberant song, sand and surf fest set inside a retro beach party movie. The storyline depicts how 1960s sensibilities motivate a modern girl to affirm her capability, strengths and goals.
The television premiere of “Teen Beach Movie,” a Disney Channel Original Movie, is FRIDAY, JULY 19 (8:00 p.m., ET/PT) on Disney Channel U.S. followed by telecasts on Disney Channels around the world. It will be available Monday, July 15 to verified users on the WATCH Disney Channel app and WATCHDisneyChannel.com.
She Is So Not a Fashionista
My daughter dislikes shopping. A. Lot. She doesn’t like trying things on in changing rooms, she doesn’t like waiting in line.
Therefore I spend a great deal of time shopping for her, either in the store or online. She is so not a fashionista. If she could wear sweat pants and a graphic tee all day every day, that would be her outfit of choice.
So I’ve been trying to encourage her to ‘improve’ on her fashion choices.
