Chicken a la Princess Casserole
The other day my daughter asked me to make Chicken a la King. I’ve never made it before and so went looking for some recipes. One thing I noted no matter where I found the recipes; they either included peas, mushrooms and/or pimentos.
Parmesan Popcorn
If you’re in the mood for some popcorn with a bit of seasoning try sprinkling some parmesan on it. Here’s an easy recipe that you can make in the microwave but tastes just like stove top popped. Much tastier than store bought micro-wave popcorn.
Cralmonary Swiss Turkey Sandwich
I was so excited to be able to participate in the Black & Decker Ultimate Sandwich Campaign. I thought I would pick my mom’s brain for ideas for tasty sandwich creations when we visited at Easter, but it was actually a ‘crisp bread’ snack that I had there that inspired my sandwich. This small round snack was infused with raisins, almonds and rosemary.
Cucumber Salad
A favorite summer time salad that has it’s roots in European cuisine serves up cucumbers and dill in a cream dressing. Coconut Pudding of Oahu
I’m always excited when I get to try out new recipes as part of my blog campaigns. I’m especially partial to tropical type foods, so when I saw the Old London Hawaiian themed recipes that came with my last Mom Central campaign I was eager to try them out.
Oooh Sandwiches are Beautiful (Giveaway)

When I make them, I flashback to my elementary school days when the Canadian children’s singer Fred Penner,
Instant Mashed Potato Bread Recipe

I’ve never had potato bread before and I found a recipe on Betty Crocker’s website when I was looking for recipes for the Loaded Mashed Potatoes that I received to review. I wanted a cheesy/bacon-y flavored bread to go along with our dinner, but it didn’t really taste that way – but it was really good. I think it might be because I added 2 TBSP of yeast to the machine instead of 2 TSP (DOH!!). So I’m going to try it again sometime and see if less yeast makes the flavor stand out more.
