It’s September! School has started, you’re awaiting that first pumpkin spice latté and the weather is cooling down… <– I WISH!! It’s still egg frying on the sidewalk HOT here in Texas. Don’t get me wrong this northern girl still prefers the heat to the cold weather of winters in the plains. I honestly didn’t really consider the fact that when it came to my skin though, I was just trading one harsh climate factor for another. I’ll be 43 this year. Between my age, the years of living with harsh, windy winters ,and now the 100+ degree temperatures for weeks on end in the south, my skin has seen better days.
See that fancy map up there, courtesy of RoC® Skincare, it tells me that in about 20 years it’s going to be drier throughout that whole middle belt of the United States. I appreciate the very “Farmer’s Almanac” prediction of this climate breakdown since I’m not getting any younger. If I can start protecting my skin now from the effects of the climate on it, you bet I’m going to.
I was actually surprised to see that the greater area of the metroplex I live in, Dallas-Ft.Worth, was on the lower end of the RoC® Wrinkle Ranking report, coming in at 34 & 36. I fully expected to see our metropolitan area to be much higher on that list. Equally shocking to me was that Minneapolis (the closest major city to where we lived up north) was number 5 on the list! What I didn’t know is that not just climate factors into damage to skin, but also stress, pollution, commute times and smoking, all can play a role in it as well.
What exactly is a Wrinkle Ranking you ask? This meta-analysis was compiled with original and existing research by RoC Skincare and Sperling’s Best Places, to determine the cities whose residents’ skin would most be damaged by environment and lifestyle in the year 2040. You should check out the RoC® Wrinkle Ranking to see where your city ranks and learn more about the factors that will be effecting skin damage in the future.
When we took our daughter back to college a few weeks ago, I was stopped while moving some things into our apartment because someone thought I was a student. I was a little (okay, majorly) flattered, but really knew deep down if they had actually LOOKED at my face, they would not have mistaken me for a 20 year old.
RoC® Skincare, has over 50 years of experience, and their anti-aging products guarantee visible and lasting results for healthier, younger-looking skin. At 42 it would be nice to halt any wrinkly progress that is showing up on my face and so I’ve been using the RoC® RETINOL CORREXION Deep Wrinkle Daily Moisturizer SPF 30 and RoC® RETINOL CORREXION Deep Wrinkle Serum in my facial care routine. Using products from a company that is older than I am gives me confidence that I will see the results I’m expecting. Especially when the tag line of the company is “We Keep Our Promises.”
I have very dry skin and it’s difficult to find moisturizers that work properly for my face. The RoC® RETINOL CORREXION Deep Wrinkle Daily Moisturizer SPF 30 hits all the things I need it to (moisturizes, has SPF, comes in a travel size) PLUS has the advantage of the “gold standard” in anti-aging skincare ingredients, Retinol. I have definitely noticed a difference in the feel of my facial skin since I’ve started using it. RoC® Skincare scientists have devoted years of continued research to retinol. Retinol reduces the appearance of deep wrinkles and fine lines and complements your skin’s natural renewal process (which slows over time) to improve skin firmness and tone.
I can’t wait to see the results after 12 weeks with the RoC® RETINOL CORREXION Deep Wrinkle Serum. After clinical testing, deep wrinkles on the face and neck are visibly reduced. Dealing with pimples and wrinkles at the same time is hard y’all (evidently so is taking a selfie while trying to apply the serum)!
I think that once you start seeing wrinkles on your face you should no longer have to endure pimples, can I hear an Amen?! The problem area on my face when it comes to deep lines is definitely my forehead, you can SO see the wrinkles there.
One of the things I love most about RoC® products is that they are available at the places you shop at for your other needs, like your local CVS or those fabulous weekly Target runs so many of us find ourselves making!
Did you take the time to look at the RoC® Wrinkle Ranking? If so what did you learn from it? Was your city on the list? What steps are you taking to combat and reduce wrinkles on your skin caused by environment and lifestyle factors?
I need to check these products out and maybe give them a try.
My City is low on Wrinkles ranking. I live in the Pacific Northwest so I know wrinkles are low here. I use Roc Products and they work so good! The under eye cream really works.
I love RoC products! They make my skin feel great. Love the review!
I need to try RoC products. I agree once you get wrinkles you shouldn’t have to deal with acne but I know that is not the case.
Love RoC. My city was #44 🙁
Thanks for sharing this product. 🙂
I also have dry skin from yeas of harsh winters I never really used anything but I think that I should try this.
