“I participated in an In-Home Party Activation on behalf of Influence Central for Honey Bunches of Oats Bake at Home. I received product samples to facilitate this post as well as a promotional item to thank me for my participation.”
February. That time of the year when things just feel…blah. The holidays are over, spring still is a while away, many of us are stuck inside for one reason or another and those winter blues kick in. So with the help of Honey Bunches of Oats ‘Bake at Home’ Granola Snackers I hosted a party at my home, invited some friends and we had a great time talking and snacking those winter blahs away!
Honey Bunches of Oats Bake at Home Granola Snackers come in three flavors: Chocolate Chip, Cranberry Vanilla and Honey Oat. Each box comes with the whole grain rolled oats & crisp rice packet and a pouch of wildflower honey.
You add brown sugar and butter and then bake them in a muffin tin.
On the back of the boxes there are suggested mix-ins that you can add, and we had fun doing that. We added some chocolate chips and marshmallows to make a S’mores version with the Honey Oat. We added some nuts to Cranberry Vanilla and some shredded coconut to some, and some candy coated chocolate pieces to some of the Chocolate Chip variety.
My guests had not heard of these new bake at home snacks before, so they were really interested in them, and couldn’t believe how easy these ‘semi-homemade’ snacks were to make! We had a lot of fun.
Then of course taste testing ensued!
Both the grown ups and the kids loved them (I admit the kids were drawn to the ones with the candy coated chocolate and the S’mores ones!). Each box makes 12 snackers so there was enough to share and let our guests take some home.
One guest was excited to let her kids have the Honey Bunches of Oats ‘Bake at Home’ Granola Snackers as a wholesome after school snack since each serving packs in at least 11 grams of whole grain.
I think we successfully pushed those Winter Blues back, with the Honey Bunches of Oats ‘Bake at Home’ Granola Snackers. I know I’ll be keeping a box or two of these around in my pantry to have a quick option to bake up for coffee get togethers with my girl friends. They store wonderfully in a sealed container after they’ve been baked so they’re perfect to send to our daughter who is in college too! I also want to try adding some dates and figs sometime to give them a bit of a Mediterranean flair!
