A number of weeks ago I received Belly Fat Diet for Dummies to review from the popular For Dummies book line up. Never one to think myself so educated that I can learn immediately from text book style verbiage – the For Dummies books are right up my alley. I drink a lot of coffee and tea which of course after periods of time stains the teeth. We recently had family pictures taken at my brother’s wedding in November, and while I knew I didn’t have “white” teeth, I was a little taken aback at how yellow they actually appeared in the photos. About a month ago I let you all know that I was going to be doing a Test Drive for some of Crest and Oral-B’s new Pro-Health Clinical products. I knew to expect good quality items as we use Crest in our home all the time, but I wasn’t sure if it would be ‘better’ than the Crest/Oral-B products we currently use.

My mom has passed down a lot of things to me in life, both by nurture and by nature. But one of the things her DNA was dominant over my dad’s was hair color…or lack there of, however you want to describe it. My mom had COMPLETELY white hair by the time she was 41. I mean yeah, at least it was pure white, and not a salt & pepper or a yellow-white, but still…41.

As I get closer to that age, I’m getting that eerie feeling that…I’m turning into my mom!!! Okay, not really but I have a lot of white hair, and am too cheap to go to the salon every month to have it colored or highlighted, so I do it at home.

Do you notice how your skin changes with the seasons? For myself it happens mostly in the winter months. The wind and cold chaps everything that’s exposed and then some! My skin can get so dry that when I towel off after showering, it’s like I’m a snake and my skin sheds. Kind of like this…

It can be tough to find a lotion that you feel works with your body chemistry, your preference in scent or texture and that won’t break your pocket book.
