I drink a lot of coffee and tea which of course after periods of time stains the teeth. We recently had family pictures taken at my brother’s wedding in November, and while I knew I didn’t have “white” teeth, I was a little taken aback at how yellow they actually appeared in the photos. I definitely wanted to change the look of that and brighten them so they looked more polished. Here’s the thing; I WANT to take back my smile — to not be embarrassed or worried about how it looks to others, and I realize that If You’re Not Whitening, You’re Yellowing. Yikes! Who would purposely want to do that?!

I had always been worried about at-home whitening, because I thought it wasn’t safe. I thought perhaps the kits would be abrasive and damage the enamel on my teeth. When I received the Crest 3D White Professional Effects Whitestrips I read all the documentation that came with it, and found out that it works with the same enamel-safe ingredient that dentists use, so I was a bit more assured on the safety to my teeth, and decided to try them out. I was curious on whether it would really deliver any noticeability in the color of my teeth.

Crest 3D White Professional Effects Whitestrips remove over 10 years of set-in stains and whiten 25x better than the leading toothpaste (when toothpaste is used for 4 weeks).

The strips were easy to use. To see the best results you’re supposed to use them 30 minutes a day for 20 days.

You simply take them out of the pouch, peel them off, apply them to your teeth and set your timer.

Then peel them off when your 30 minutes is done. Voila, you’re finished! Fourteen days later you should notice a difference to your (hopefully!) much pearlier whites!

I have teeth that are sensitive to cold…and I did have some sensitivity when using the Crest 3D White Professional Effects Whitestrips. This wasn’t a surprise to me, the literature included indicated some people might. It didn’t last long and I used Crest Sensitive toothpaste to help with that. Because of this though, I didn’t use the strips daily, so I didn’t see results as quickly as some others may. I plan on keeping up the routine and help to maintain it with Crest 3D White toothpaste as well.

I’m satisfied with the degree of whitening I’ve seen, even from the diminished time I’ve used them.  I tried to take pictures, but it might be difficult to see the difference between them.  The coloring isn’t quite the same on both of them, you’ll see the bottom picture even has a bit more of a ‘yellow hue’ to it, but hopefully you can tell my teeth actually look a bit whiter in that one!  I think it might have to do with the fact that I took one with my iPhone’s forward facing camera and one with a different camera.

I’d say the whitening is effective and my daughter is eager to try them on her teeth too, since they have some staining from three years of wearing braces.

Crest 3D White Professional Strips are relatively moderate in price when compared to a professional treatment at just $49.99 for a box. I think it’s a pretty good bang for your buck in terms of the results seen. If you want the best smile you can have and are considering an at-home whitening kit because of surface stains on your teeth, give Crest 3D White Professional Strips a try, my teeth turned brighter using them, yours might too. Who knows you just might smile more too!

I was provided the opportunity to take part in this sponsored campaign thanks to One2One Network. I received the at-home whitening kit as a courtesy and am eligible for incentives, but the opinions in this review are 100% mine. Published by Tammy Litke.
