About a month ago I let you all know that I was going to be doing a Test Drive for some of Crest and Oral-B’s new Pro-Health Clinical products. I knew to expect good quality items as we use Crest in our home all the time, but I wasn’t sure if it would be ‘better’ than the Crest/Oral-B products we currently use.

One of the benefits of the Crest and Oral-B Pro-Clinical Plaque Control products is that they are supposed to give you that clean feeling you have when you go to the dentist. Know the one I’m talking about? So how did they measure up?

So after a month of using them, I’m not surprised in the least, but I am impressed by the results.

Toothpaste – My family has taste and texture issues, so toothpaste can be difficult to buy. I have many tubes of toothpaste in my drawer because one person doesn’t like the way it tastes (so we put it away for another person when they’re finished the tube they’re currently using) or doesn’t like the texture of the paste/gel.

I love this toothpaste. I would gladly buy a bunch of them even if no one else in the house will use it! I’m big on fluoride in toothpaste. We don’t drink enough tap water to get what’s in there and actually my daughter’s orthodontist prescribed a fluoride toothpaste for her to help because she has braces. The Crest Pro-Health Clinical Plaque Control has 0.454% of Stannous fluoride, but the paste is formulated so that it shouldn’t stain your teeth (I haven’t seen any staining on mine).

Rinse – Honestly, this took a bit of time to get used to. The rinse kind of ‘foams’ up in your mouth. This was something entirely new to me, and I think that if I had not agreed to use the products on a daily basis for this test drive, I would have stopped using it right away. I’m glad I had to use it though, because I think it has really made a difference in the morning and coffee breath departments!

FlossGlide Pro-Health Clinical Protection Floss is a terrific product. I won’t use anything else. It’s the only floss I’ve ever used that makes flossing easy and not a chore. It is gentle between my teeth and gums, and gets all those pesky food pieces (like popcorn hulls!) that my toothbrush can’t get at.

Manual Toothbrush – I will be up front an honest about my experience with the Oral-B Pro-Health Clinical Pro-Flex Toothbrush, right out of the chute. This toothbrush is extremely innovative in that the sides of the brush ‘flex’ and allow you to get to those hard to reach places to scrub away the plaque, especially along the gum line.

Due to the sensitivities that my tooth line and gums have, my dentist has recommended an extra soft or sensitive toothbrush head for me. That is what I generally use on a daily basis. I did give the Oral-B Pro-Health Clinical Pro-Flex Toothbrush a go for about a week or so, but my gums were just so sore from using it, that I had to go back to my sensitive bristles. If this toothbrush ever comes with extra soft or sensitive bristles, I’d definitely use it.

Using the other 3 items in my daily regimen though I notice that my teeth look whiter, and I definitely have fresher breath now then even with the other Crest/Oral-B products I was using.

Dental health is really important to me and my family and I really recommend the great Crest and Oral-B Pro-Health Clinical products.

“I wrote this review while participating in a test drive campaign by Mom Central Consulting on behalf of Crest and Oral-B and received product samples to facilitate my candid review. Mom Central Consulting sent me a promotional gift to thank me for taking the time to participate.”
