I hope you all had a really great Christmas

My sister and her family came from Canada to celebrate Christmas with us.  It’s a been a while since we’ve spent Christmas with little children and the excitement as the kids unwrapped their gifts was a lot of fun to watch. 

I raked in TONS of caffeine in the form of K-Cups and Tassimo discs for my single serving brewers.

I CANNOT believe Christmas is in just two days.  With family having come to visit us here in Texas for both Thanksgiving and Christmas that means we’ve been eating and drinking lots of great holiday food.  And a good glass of wine goes hand in hand with holiday celebrations.  Of course, in this economy we’re still watching our wallets a little more than we used to (well, I am anyway).  But there are certain things I don’t want to give up completely.  I was recently introduced to Riunite Lambrusco and I have to say this is truly a GOOD AFFORDABLE wine that you can add to your holiday table.

So I’ve really been enjoying the reviews I’ve been able to do about clothing and accessories here on my blog.  Like most moms, I’m at the bottom of the list when it comes to getting new clothes, and so it’s been a fun thing to be able to pick out some new stuff just for me and then get to share them with you all.

As a parent do you ever wish you could have a do-over when it comes to something you did (or didn’t do) with your kids?  I know my mom does.  The school used to do eye checkups free of charge with the school nurse and they sent a letter home when I was 6 or 7 letting my parents know that I should have my eyes checked by an optometrist.  My mom had been through that before with my sister and it ended up she could see just fine, so my mom kind of ignored the note.
