I love it when educational activities are also fun. When something a child finds engaging is combined with learning, they can spend hours doing it and they soak up so much without even realizing it. When we were on our Disney Transatlantic Cruise in April we watched a lot of movies.  It’s one of the perks of a Disney ship; because it’s their own content, the movies they own and are shown, for the most part are all first run movies.  Meaning if they’re in the theater in the U.S., they’re also on the ship at that time too.

Of course even on the ship they show trailers of the new movies that are on the horizon, and that’s where we were first introduced to the Jerry Bruckheimer movie ‘The Sorcerer’s Apprentice’ set to release in theaters July 14th.

Back in January I posted some information about Build-A-Bear Workshop’s Huggable Heroes program.  At the time they were looking for young leaders who are making positive contributions in their communities and around the world, for their 2010 inductees.

Out of all the Disney characters Tinker Bell is my absolute favorite.  I love her, she’s small and sassy…just like me!  Little known fact, Tinker Bell was not thought to have been a marketable character for Disney when Disneyland  first opened.  Kind of funny!

Mattel Launches Monster High
