Hard and Lotion describing the same thing, seems sort of oxymoronic doesn’t it? Yet these “hard bars” that resemble a piece of soap, really are a lotion! Simply take the bar and rub it over your hands and you’ve been moisturized, no bottles, no mess!

MadeOn Hard Lotion Bars may be for you!
I started using the Bee Silk Hard Lotion Bar a couple of weeks ago. I have a form of eczema called dyshidrotic eczema, little blisters develop on my hands, they dry up and then flake, often they itch and I scratch them and then they bleed.
I can honestly say that MadeOn Hard Lotion Bars helped my hands! After two weeks I can see a noticeable difference. I’ve used a number of different creams and lotions (some prescribed, others over the counter), and often they relieve the symptoms for awhile, but then I’m back to the itchy, flaky skin.
You can see in the picture on the left, an open sore and some flaky skin in the middle. The sore is completely healed in the picture on the right and it may be difficult to tell because of the angle and light, but the flaking is gone as well.
Each bar is handcrafted, wrapped in parchment, tucked in a tin, and labeled with the date the bar was made. The small tin is perfect to throw in a bag or pocket so you have it with you all the time. The larger family sized bar, is in the tin about the size of an Altoids box. I love that I can take even the large size in a travel carry on without worrying about the liquid requirements that air travel imposes.
MadeOn also sells
- Au Chocolat lotion bar – combines cocoa butter, coconut oil and beeswax to produce a lotion with a slight natural chocolate scent.
- Bug Block – takes the same ingredients as the Beesilk lotion bar, but adds the essential oils of citronella, cedarwood, and lavender to create the added benefit of repelling mosquitoes.
- Second Life Hair Butter – combines Shea butter, coconut oil, beeswax and sweet orange essential oil to create a “butter” to scoop and rub into dry hair to moisturize and texturize.
