New Potato Flyers are tasty BAKED chips.

I was generously sent a number of samples from Pirate Brands in four great flavors.

These chips have ½ the fat as compared to the leading potato chip.  A single 1 oz. serving only has 120 calories and 5 grams of fat.  They are all natural, gluten free and trans fat free, coming in The Original, Sour Cream & Onion, Sea Salt & Vinegar and Homestyle Barbeque flavors.  I was sent all four flavors to try and I was quite eager to try them.  All of those flavors are favorites of mine!

Collecting pens and pencils is a guilty little pleasure I have.  Everyone who knows me, can always count on me having at least two in my bag at any one time (often it’s more than that!).  I like to find the ones that stand out, showing off when I sign my name or write a note.  Having a writing instrument that’s fun to use can change your whole attitude of the task you’re using it for.  I mean really, how can you not make a statement when you’re writing with a bright pen?  I also think the that having a good writing instrument gives you a sense of purpose.

Deoderants and anti-perspirants are wonderful for eliminating odor and sweat, but there can be a trade off when using them.  They stain shirts, or after they’ve worn off and aren’t effective during your day, your sweat can stain your shirt.  There are natural remedies that are touted to remove those unsightly stains on your garment, and I’ve tried some of them.  Sometimes they work for a while but actually only “mask” the stain, meaning that if you let it sit for awhile the stain will reappear, or they only fade the stain slightly no matter how hard you scrub.

As moms, we are all constantly evolving. As our children grow up, our lifestyles go through many changes. Has your social scene gone from fraternity parties to dinner parties with a close-knit group of friends or neighbors? Has your living space or work situation gone through a transformation for the better? Has your style gone from drab to fab over the years?

The one thing in my life that is better than ever, is that almost 8 years ago I shed 30 lbs with Weight Watchers, and have kept it off!  On a 4’9″ body frame, you can imagine how 30 extra pounds, was a big deal.  I had the gumption and the perseverance to stick it out and it took me 6 months of learning how to eat right and get on an exercise plan, but it was totally worth it!

When I was 15 my parents built a new house.  Prior to that my sister and I had shared a room, and so the furniture we had was split up resulting in pretty bare looking rooms when we got our own.  They had an extra bedroom in the new house so the old bedroom furniture went in there, and we each got new queen size platform beds and dressers to go with them.

I don’t know how it happened, but over the last 16 years that Hubby and I have been married, we’ve accumulated a whole lot of blankets.  Quilts and comforters in every bed size imaginable, crocheted afghans from grandmas and moms, fleece blankets from promotional events, and the list goes on.

I’m obsessed with scent.  I use air freshners in my home in every room.  I burn scented candles, and spray refreshers on my furniture.  It could be because I have what my family calls a “super-sniffer”.  In other words, if there is a foul scent, no matter how weak, I’ll sniff it out and lament about it.
