I don’t know how it happened, but over the last 16 years that Hubby and I have been married, we’ve accumulated a whole lot of blankets. Quilts and comforters in every bed size imaginable, crocheted afghans from grandmas and moms, fleece blankets from promotional events, and the list goes on.
Space Bag figured that I needed a bit of help getting those blankets under control, because they apparently knew I wasn’t about to part with any, there are far too many memories attached to them.
I know everyone is wondering, “Do they really work like they do on the T.V. commercials?” I am excited to say, that I have had success in reclaiming shelf space in my closet thanks to Space Bags. I was sent a number of bags of varying sizes to clean my closet, and will show you a couple of them. My target was to clear off at least two shelves worth of blankets (I had four shelves and a quilt stand full of blankets), and have only one quilt left on the quilt stand, and I met my expectation.
I thought that it would be a bit more difficult to get the Space Bags to work like they show on T.V., but it was actually an easy process, the only piece I had difficulty with was the Cube Bag. Let me show you the process.
This is two twin size comforters taking up an entire shelf in my closet.
This is the Extra Large Cube Space Bag.
This is the two quilts, a pillow, an afghan and three fleece blankets inside the Space Bag.
This is the bag compressed with all those blankets on the same shelf that only fit two comforters before!
Now I say I had difficulty with this bag, because I found that it didn’t compress nice and neat like they do on T.V.. It’s sort of odd shaped and not really a cube. Perhaps it’s because I didn’t have it in a storage container when I was removing the air, and that may have altered the shape of it. Regardless it saved me a ton of shelf space, so I’m not up in arms that it is not a perfect cube All the other bags I used to store the other myriads of blankets in, compressed nice and flat like this:
I myself am quite pleased with how Space Bags have allowed me to reclaim some of the Real Estate in my closet for other purposes, especially considering I can’t use 15 blankets at one time!
I realize I am not alone in this world when it comes to having more stuff than room. Space Bag is issuing a challenge for those of us that need to get our stuff under control.
