Just about this time of the season a few years back I made the discovery of Twin XL Bedding.  Yes I grabbed the wrong package of sheets, instead of a regular twin set, I took a twin xl  off the shelf, only to be a bit surprised at home that it was so much longer than Amber’s mattress!  Now each year when I see the college dorm deals pop up in the bedding department I giggle at my mistake.

Nonetheless there aren’t that many weeks left before those with college bound children will be making their way to the dorms laden with their twin xl bedding and other essentials. 

In just two days Sheryl Crow’s new album 100 Miles From Memphis will be released on A&M Records. 

After the release, Crow is debuting a new live band to take the new funky sound she’s created on tour. You can find a list of them on her website.

I have about 5 different kinds of crackers or chips opened at any one time in my cupboard.  We like to have a variety of choices, but with only three of us in the house, it takes a while to get through a bag. It can take us a month or longer to finish any one bag, so even if they are put away with a “chip clip”, by the time we’re done eating them they have a bit of that stale taste to them.

Recently Evenflo had an Are You a Savvy Parent ad campaign with a number of videos for their Momentum65 Convertible Car Seat.  Now as far as I know, the widget on my blog is muted unless you choose to listen to the sound.  Other bloggers apparently did not have their mute buttons enabled on their widgets, and when this campaign started were inundated with e-mails from their readers concerned with the content of these videos.

Those who are regular readers of my blog, will have by now figured out we love to snack in our home.  So we always enjoy it when we’re able to try new products to snack on.  Our latest find were Nature Valley Granola Thins, and oh they are tasty.

Each lesson in the Switched-On Schoolhouse curriculum is set up relatively the same way (at least in the three high school courses Amber is using, English I, American Literature and Family & Consumer Sciences).
