Culturelle Probiotic

Last month I posted a giveaway for those oh so fun I ♥ Bacteria Shirts from Culturelle.  Not because anyone would really wear them because they love bacteria … or would they?

That’s right I’ll clue you in a little bit, but go read the post and it will explain it fully.  Not all bacteria is bad, some of it is good, and our body actually needs it.  Those bacteria are called probiotics, and it’s the kind of bacteria that you find in yogurt.

Yogurt however even if you eat it everyday, isn’t going to boost your immune system like a supplement will.  It helps to promote overall digestive health as well.

About the time that I posted the t-shirt giveaway I also received a 30 day supply of Culturelle to try it out and let you know what I thought about it.

Sometimes it’s hard to gauge the results of a product like this, partially if you’re like me and you don’t get sick often, but also because you have to think hard of what things were like before you started taking the supplement to actually figure out whether or not you see an improvement in your body.

I think I can safely say, that Culturelle has improved my well being, at least on a digestion side.  Now I know this might be a poor way to show my proof but here goes.

I love movie theater popcorn.  I mean love it.  I will down almost an entire larger container by myself when we go to the movies (gasp, I know!) with butter (double gasp!).  Good thing we don’t go to the movies too often!  What’s actually humerous about that is everytime we do go to a movie, and I eat my body weight in buttered popcorn, I wake up in the middle of the night absolutely sick to my stomach.  My stomach churns and churns, and yes only a handful of antacids and the fetal position helps.  And then I say “I’m never eating movie popcorn again”.  And yet…the next time guess what I’m walking away from the conessions with?

The other day, our family went to the theater.  Yes, we ordered buttered popcorn, and yes I ate at least half of that large popcorn myself.  This is where I think I can high five the friendly bacteria in Culturelle.  I did not feel sick…at all.  Not even a bit.  I truly think my digestion has improved over the last month.

Now I’m certainly not advocating the unhealthy consumption of buttered popcorn or other foods, but am convinced that Culturelle really does make a difference in your well being if taken regularly.

Now I’ll leave you with this fun “Purse Snatching” video.
