I’ve always been a frugal shopper; clipping coupons, shopping sales – if friends or family want something for the best price, I’m usually one of the first people they come to asking where they can score a deal on what they’re looking for.  The rising cost of, well pretty much everything, has me checking out resources on where to save a bit more here, and get a little bit more income there.

I have had the privilege over the past couple of years, to work with PartyLite on my blog and feature their products. With the nights getting darker and a chill in the air—the stage is being set for one of the most festive seasons of the year. Autumn brings us Halloween and Thanksgiving. Comfort foods abound, and pumpkins, apples, gingerbread, and spices permeate our senses with tastes, sights and scents.

Kraft Foods loves this time of year too, and they wanted to help me get in the spirit of the season with some Kraft Foods favorites and a few brand new products.

Summer has officially taken a back seat to autumn in our part of the country. For us that means storing and/or securing those items that don’t get used in a South Dakota winter. We live in a pretty safe community, so we don’t worry about theft too much, but the items that we need to store outdoors are subject to visibility, as well as the wind. Don’t laugh too much at that last statement, wind has been a bigger concern of loss for us then theft.

When my Fellowes Saturn2 95 Laminator arrived last week I immediately took it out of the box and started laminating everything in sight! I laminated my Social Security card, my husband’s professional license, and my kids’ memory verses for school, pictures of my kids, recipe cards, etc. Being a home schooling mom, I have found this product to be such a useful tool for protecting many of my teaching aids, enabling us to even write on some of them with dry-erase markers when the need arises, and then wiping them clean when we’re done.
