Now available in stores, MONSTERS UNIVERSITY on Blu-ray DVD and 3D Blu-ray DVD is the Pixar ‘prequel/sequel’ to Monsters, Inc.

We took the opportunity to see it this summer in the theaters, but now with our daughter right in the middle of university applications, essays and paperwork; it was a lot of fun to watch it again at home.  It’s scarerific, especially in 3D.

Based on the beloved bestselling book, THE BOOK THIEF (Twentieth Century Fox) tells the inspirational story of a spirited and courageous young girl who transforms the lives of everyone around her when she is sent to live with a new family in World War II Germany.

Buckle up, it’s going to be a bumpy ride!!

CARS 3D Ultimate Collector’s Edition on Blu-ray 3D, Blu-ray, Digital HD, DVD and Digital Copy (U.S. Only) is in stores now!

We already had Cars 2 on 3D Blu-ray so we were very excited to also receive the original Cars movie in the 3D format to add to our collection.  With two young nephews comign to visit soon, I know that these DVDs are going to get watched, A LOT, while they’re here at Auntie’s.

My husband is a chocolate fiend.  Fiend I tell you.  One can NEVER go wrong buying him chocolate for gifts.  And that’s just what’s on my holiday gift list for him this year.  Chocolate, chocolate and more chocolate.  The older he’s getting though, the more concerned he is about what he’s putting into his body.  A lot of chocolate is full of nasty chemicals and preservatives, and there’s got to be something better than that out there for a sweet treat.

Most moms can relate to family members who often can’t agree on anything.  One wants their food to have a bit of spice to it.  The other wants it ooey gooey.  One wants it hot, the other wants it cold.  You feel like a short order cook some nights and it’s usually the times when you need an easy dinner.  Now though you can satisfy all the taste buds whether it’s for adults or a kids meal with new Tyson Cheesy Chicken Nuggets and Spicy Chicken Nuggets. 

Now that it’s November I can start thinking of Thanksgiving and Christmas!  We’ve invested in a ton of LED lights for our home since we moved in, replacing nearly all the bulbs.  Not only do they save on energy but they last a whole lot longer than halogens or florescents.  We even love decorating with LED lights, for the same reasons.  We bought ourselves a new Christmas tree (on Halloween no less!) pre-lit with LED bulbs and I love the way they don’t get hot but still emit such a clean light.

I love to bake and with the holidays creeping up on us I am on the lookout for awesome ways that I can use baking to gift and thank the people that are special to us.  Just last week Good Cook sent me some nifty products to do just that: a 3D HOLIDAY ORNAMENT CAKE PAN, CAKE DECORATOR BAG, and some CANDY STRIPE LARGE COOKIE BOXES.  These are some fun tools that are perfect for making up some sweet creations for our friends and family.  We spent the day experimenting with baking and decorating and we had so much fun!
