What Is Relativity? or as Jeffrey Bennett Explains: Black Holes Don’t Suck
As our homeschooling journey is now complete, I’ve been winding down on those kind of review posts and topics. But I couldn’t resist taking just one more on even right when Amber was graduating. I mean how can you not be intrigued by a book written by a prominent author and astrophysicist that explains the fact that despite what our TV and DVDs tell us; Black Holes Don’t Suck, but also in a way that the average Joe (or Tammy in this case) can actually understand it?!
Summer Fashion at Grapevine Mills #SummerSizzle #HeardItThru

You all are going to come to realize that I’m going to be talking a lot about Grapevine, TX on my blog. Living so close to a city that offers so much means that I’m driving over there a lot to play, and eat, and shop! This past week I was able to attend a gratis blogger reception at Grapevine Mills, a Simon Outlet Mall, to see a preview of the hottest summer fashions, hence the #SummerSizzle

Goodyear’s Eagle Sport All-Season Tires & $100 Giveaway
We’re the kind of people who drive our vehicles until they die…literally. Currently we own a 1998 Honda CR-V and a 2002 VW Jetta. We’ve put a lot of miles (or kilometers in the case of the CR-V since we bought that when we still lived in Canada) on those cars, and we’ve replaced the tires a number of times on them as well. When Goodyear asked if we’d be willing to review their Eagle Sport All-Season Tires, we thought they would be good for our Jetta since it won’t be long before we’d have to replace the tires on that car anyway.

Relish! Menu Planning Giveaway
One of things I notice in my daily routine is that if I’m super busy and don’t have a menu plan for the week, my family can just forget about eating a proper meal.
I’ve used a number of meal planning services in the past. I like each of them for different reasons. Recently I’ve had the chance to use Relish!
For folks that haven’t meal planned before, I can share with you my experience using Relish!
Grapevine Wine Tours
When we moved to North Texas last summer, I was delighted when we found a home close to the city of Grapevine. It has great tourist appeal and interesting places to visit. I’ve had the chance to go to numerous locales there in the past year.
When you think of wine, Texas is a state that you probably wouldn’t think of. But it’s the fourth largest wine producing state. And I do believe that my new favorite experience in the area is Grapevine Wine Tours. It’s a fun wine tasting/meal event that gets you a flavor for the wineries located in the area and leaves you with a taste for more…

The Fault in Our Stars – One of My Five Must See Movies of Summer

As you can see by the ‘bio’ in my header I’m a bit movie obsessed. We try and get to the theater once a week. Usually we hit most of the blockbusters. This summer though I have a couple of movies on my “must see” list that you either may not have heard of or haven’t gotten the press that others receive.
1. The Fault in Our Stars – My Must See Love Story
Book Review: A Pretty Age
Book Description
In 1910, a missionary visitor arrives at Sophiny Mumm’s convent boarding school in Concord, Kansas. Sophiny is smitten. Her best friend Antoinette Dominguez is not—and begins a series of strange behaviors breaking all the rules. In an ensuing investigation of puzzling enigmas, Sophiny has to use all the resources of emerging women’s rights, family relationships, social networks, the new technologies (telephone, photography, and transportation), and patron saints.
