You have company coming – there are dishes on your counter, in your sink, and your dishwasher is full…of course you stash them in the oven to hide them for a few hours and all is good right?! I’ve bet most of us have done that once.

Oh how I wish I could do that for the impromptu home showings we’ve been having, but alas people that are interested in buying my home, might actually be looking in the oven they’re buying with it. So not only does the oven have to be empty…it has to be clean!

When I think Guacamole and Salsa, I immediately think “chips” – but really how boring is that?!  I mean both products are great to eat with chips, but there is so much more you can do with them, and I was shown just that when I got to visit the test kitchen of Wholly Guacamole® and spend the afternoon with the cooking inspiration of Nathan Lippy from The Hungry Channel.  The HUNGRY Channel is the central hub of food entertainment on YouTube, led by a slate of original programming filled with diverse viewpoints and strong personalities.  Grill This with Nathan Lippy has new episodes posted every Thursday on the HUNGRY YouTube channel.

Just as I was struggling with a cold that I picked up at Blissdom, I received samples of Superior Source vitamins to review.  How timely!

By now you all MUST know that we are moving, LOL! And even though we haven’t sold our home yet, we have an official date of when we have to be down in Texas for my husband’s job. We still have a number of months to get ready for that while we wait for our home to sell, and so we aren’t completely overwhelmed once we do have an offer, we’ve already started packing.

So it was literally a windfall for us when SmoothMove Supplies sent us some boxes to help us pack up our stuff.  What you’ve got to love about these boxes is that they are an all-in-one solution.

Our family loves fantasy and science fiction.  After seeing The Lord of the Rings trilogy too many times to count, we were very excited to learn that Peter Jackson was working on some movies for The Hobbit too. 

That’s how we spent our Christmas Eve last year, in the movie theater with some popcorn and slushies for dinner, surrounded by hobbits and dwarves for company!  And we had a great time watching it!

All three of us in our family need corrective lenses, and quite honestly we’re all blind as bats.  Both my husband and I have been wearing glasses since we were young kids, so when our daughter needed glasses when she was eight years old it wasn’t a surprise to us at all.

We go to the ‘eye doctor’ every year for eye care check-ups…and yes until recently I always just called him the ‘eye doctor’ because I never knew which of those similar yet different words of ophthalmologist, optometrist or optician, he actually was.

Air conditioning.  It’s been on my mind a lot lately.  Not because we need it here in South Dakota right now (far from it!), but because we have our home for sale, and we have a spring date every year with our ‘air conditioning guy.’ 

We have a leak somewhere in our line, they’ve checked the last two years and it’s not outside where it could be fixed, but rather our garage ceiling would have to be ripped apart so they could find it.  No thank you.  So instead, each spring we have them come out and top off the Freon each year.
