Are you ready for STAR WARS day?  Every year on May the Fourth (…be with you), fans all over the world celebrate our favorite sci-fi saga.  This year, we want you to feel the Force with Hasbro toys and games based on the wildly popular ANGRY BIRDS STAR WARS mobile game from Rovio Entertainment.  These innovative toys and games capture all the launching nad destroying fun of the app in physical form, featuring your favorite STAR WARS characters re-imagined as high-flying ANGRY BIRDS and villainous pigs.

When it comes to the house hunting game, we’ve got some specific wants.  I want to live in a safe neighborhood and have a decent kitchen and a guest room.  My husband wants the house to be close to his work, have a small yard, an office and a large shower.  When you put all those things together the list of available homes in our price range shrinks.  It’s a conundrum on which one to give up to have the rest, as we want all of them!

I’m sure by now you’ve heard of  monthly subscription boxes.  They come in all kinds from pets, beauty, tech, gaming and food.  These boxes are a great way to try items you wouldn’t necessarily buy on your own, and find new brands to love and items to share with your family and friends.  When Green fork-N-spoon, who curates organic/non-GMO monthly subscription snack boxes, asked if they could send me a box to review, I was excited to see what would be included!

I have a feeling you’re going to see a lot of upcoming movie posts on my blog in the next few months!  I’m so excited about seeing a lot of these movies.  We’re not big outdoorsy people, so movies are one of our primary sources of entertainment.

The weather this year is not what I had planned!  Last year right about this time on the calendar it was warm (like it’s supposed to be!).  This year…the day I’m writing this post…we still have snow on the ground!  I wasn’t overly impressed with the weather that greeted me in Dallas at Blissdom – but even that was better then this April in South Dakota.

The wintery mix we’ve encountered lately made me feel the need to get a rockin’ pair of shoes to help me feel summer is actually coming.

A couple of days ago I was sharing with you about eMeals new Slow Cooker meal plans, well today I want to share something else that they have just recently launch and that’s an iPhone App.

I use my iPhone for nearly everything – including my grocery shopping list, so to be able to combine everything in one place; my meal plan, my shopping list and the recipes all in one place, on the item I always have with me  — GENIUS.

Here’s how it works.

Right now home is a little bit of a subjective thing for me.  Is it the walls that surround my living space?  Is it the décor inside those walls?  Is it what reminds me of my childhood?  Is it the people who live there?  Yes to it all.  But as we are in the process of selling this ‘home’ we live in currently, my home has actually become a bit of a love/hate relationship as it were.

Just before the year 2012 ended I shared about the eMeals Meal Planning site with you.  I’m going to be honest with you I pooh-poohed the idea of meal planning prior to this.  But seriously, it’s one of the BEST things I’ve instituted in my homemaking since I started.

My three month trial ran out and I liked the service so much I was going to renew my subscription at my own cost, and then it was so nice that at Blissdom I met a contact from eMeals and they invited me to be a part of their blogger program.
