YoCrunch® with Trail Mix {Giveaway}

Ever since the first sample of YoCrunch I received, I’ve been a huge fan of them.  I’ve been asked to be a part of the YoCrunch First Tasters Family Program, where I’ll get to try some of their new and best-selling products and share what my family thinks of them with you.   This month we got to try YoCrunch Trail Mix m&m’s with peanuts & raisins.  Made with their lowfat vanilla yogurt, this flavor with the mix-in is satisfying and packs in some protein for your day.

PopCorners Review and Giveaway

A while back I did a review here on my blog for PopCorners popcorn chips.  My family really enjoyed them and they have been seen in my grocery cart since I did that review.  So I was quite interested in tasting the new product line that PopCorners has introduced featuring 100% Whole Grain Sorghum.

Be Sure to Prepare Your Teenage Daughter to “Arrive In Style”

As parents it’s our duty to protect our kids and that includes giving them sound advice and being good examples for them when it comes to driving.

You don’t want to be getting a call from the police with the worst case scenario.  Ever.

Whether they’re fresh out of the DMV with their learner’s permit or they’re first time drivers at seventeen or eighteen, chances are your teens (especially girls) are distracted by peers and cell phones in the vehicles they’re driving.

Old El Paso Twist on Tacos – Giveaway

I’ll admit it, taco night is usually pretty boring around here.  My family isn’t very adventurous when it comes to new flavors, and we stick with the basics.  Ground beef, shredded lettuce, shredded cheese, and some refried beans just for me.

So when Old El Paso® challenged me to put a twist on tacos, I had to think outside the box on something that would make our tacos a little more unique but so that the family would still eat them.

When it’s Time for Your Oil Change, Bring Along the Motor Oil Matters Checklist

When’s your next oil change?  We just had one done on my husband’s car.  Since Texas requires a car inspection before you can title and register it, we headed over to a local auto service center to have those done.  Good timing too as it were, since just before our appointments my husband’s engine light happened to go on.

It ended up that he need some repairs done to his car on the air injection system, but since it was just about time he had an oil change done on it, we had them do that as well.

MUJJO The Sleeves Collection

This past week I received a mobile sleeve to review from a company called MUJJO.  MUJJO is based in The Netherlands and their products are all made with excellent Dutch craftsmanship.  Since I have a plethora of cases for my iPhone, I decided to get a Samsung Galaxy S3 sleeve for my husband’s new phone, which until now he’s been using completely unprotected.

Free Mobile App – Vonage Mobile – Giveaway

Earlier this week I had let you know about the Free Mobile App from Vonage Mobile.

The app allows you to make phone calls, text and video chat for free with other users that have the app installed.  And for a limited time, using the app you can call with it to landlines and mobile phones within the US, Canada and Puerto Rico for free too (up to 3000 minutes per month!).  We’ve been using the app for a couple of weeks now and we think it is wonderful.

Free Mobile App – Vonage Mobile

I remember 14 years ago when we first moved to the U.S., researching Vonage services because we needed a second phone line for my husband’s job.  Fast forward to this past month when I now was researching it again, but this time it was for their app, Vonage Mobile.

Vonage Mobile is free to download (and you don’t have to have a Vonage land line to use it) and with it you can call, text, and video chat.  I admit I was intrigued and so we downloaded it to my husband’s Android phone, my iPhone and our daughter’s iTouch to give it a whirl.

DVDs Are Not Fire Kindling

Moving into a new home is so exciting.  When we were looking for a house here in Texas we had certain features that we were looking for, surprisingly enough the very first house we looked at had them all, and was in the end the one we bought.  The house is 840 sq ft larger than the condo we had in South Dakota, but interestingly we had quite a bit more storage in the condo then we do here in this home now.

Case in point -> this is where our DVD collection is right now.
