Hallmark Friendship Cards at WalMart #ConnectingFriends #shop

I didn’t have much appreciation for card shops until I became an adult.  As a kid greeting cards barely got read and then I’d toss them.  I found myself tucking away cards as I got older though, the first Valentine’s Day card my husband sent me when we were dating, the first Anniversary card, my first Mother’s Day card; and then it was just any card I received from anyone.  Somewhere along the way I realized life is short and fleeting and when someone takes the time to find the ‘perfect’ card to send me, I want to have that card to look back on in years to come.

Separation Anxiety Isn’t Just for Kids. Good Thing We Have Cheap Wireless Plans.

Walmart Family Mobile Great Graduation Gift #shopWe’ve been loyal Walmart #FamilyMobile customers for almost a year now.  The great thing about blogging is being able to try new products and services.  Through a #CollectiveBias campaign last year my husband got to activate a line and try out an Unlimited Talk Text and Data/Web through Walmart Family Mobile and we loved it so much we added two more lines to the plan.  One for our daughter and one for me.

You may have noticed me talking a lot about graduation on the blog lately.  That’s kind of consuming our lives right now.

Spring Cleaning Our Bodies for Digestive System Balance

Over the past year and a half our daughter had been having digestion issues which we tried to treat with Dr. Google.  When we couldn’t pin point the problem of her queasy stomach we did the good parental thing and took her to the doctor.  After some poking, prodding and testing it was concluded that she had issues with certain foods and stress, and her doctor thought she should do some diet changes as well as take probiotics to help her digestive system balance.

Walmart Family Mobile Unlimited Talk Text and Data/Web = The Biggest Return

It’s February 17th today, which means you have just 57 days before Tax Day.  Dear me, I’m not likely getting a refund this year, so it means I’m watching my pennies wisely.  Possibly you are though…and if that’s the case you probably want to maximize that tax refund and stretch your dollars as best you can.  In either case whether you are getting some money back or whether you owe, might I suggest then, that if you are looking at getting a new mobile provider that you consider one of the Lowest Price Unlimited Plans from Walmart Family Mobile.

Game Time and DiGiorno Pizza

At this time of the year when it comes to sports most everyone is focused on football and football party ideas but if I mentioned the words “skip, rock and broom” in relation to a sport, would you know what I’m talking about?

Okay, if you’re a Canadian you probably do, you may even get it if you grew up or live in the northern U.S..  The rest of you get props if you knew I was talking about Curling.

Holiday Photo Gifts with the Walgreens Mobile App

This holiday season has been like none other for us; hosting family for both Thanksgiving and Christmas is a first in our home.  The last time we saw my family was over a year ago when we traveled up to Canada for my brother’s wedding.  It is such a treat to see our loved ones face to face, instead of having to print photos from Facebook.

NuessEcken {German Nut Corners} A Traditional Holiday Baking Recipe

Things have been absolutely crazy around here the past two weeks.  First my parents came to visit for 12 days and then just as they left we got hit with this massive ice storm in North Texas.  And do you know what you do before you’re ‘iced’ in for 4 days straight and you might lose power?  You do some holiday baking… and then eat it!  I’m so glad that when my mom was visiting she taught me how to make one of our family’s traditional German Christmas recipes “NußEcken”, which literally translated means Nut Corners.

Apricot-Mustard Squash – Ditch the Butter, Prepare with Olive Oil

My parents turned me on to olive oil years ago when my dad started using it to lower his cholesterol.  But even though I knew it was healthier for us to use rather than butter in the frying pan, sometimes the flavor of it combined with what I was making just seemed off.

Thanksgiving dinner is about the only time I can get away with serving squash at the dinner table – I love it, but the rest of my family not so much.
