Well anyone who has been a follower of my blog for a while will know that our family loves Disney.  If you’re new here, just click the Disney link on the navigation bar and you’ll see.

There is nothing quite like a vacation with the mouse, and we have four cruises and numerous Disney World visits to prove it.

But the ultimate trip for us is combining them both; Disney World followed by a Disney Cruise.  We did that in 2008.  We spent three days in Disney World and then took a seven day Caribbean cruise.  It was, as Hannah Montana says, the best of both worlds!

We went on that trip in early December, it was our first time ever visiting during the Christmas season.  If you ever have a chance to book a Vacation package to Disney World at that time of the year you should.  If you go after Thanksgiving and before Christmas the crowds are pretty low too.

I’m probably one of the only people on the planet who doesn’t watch American Idol, so the name Jason Castro meant nothing to me before I was contacted to review his new self titled CD. 

Quite honestly I was a bit apprensive to listen to the dreadlocked singer as he appeared to be somewhat of a hooligan to this middle aged mama, but I figured I’d give the tracks a once over and send my regrets to the company that contacted me and let them know, his songs just weren’t for me.

Here in the North Central part of the country we’re always a few weeks behind weather wise than everyone else.  When we went on our cruise in April, all the flowers and trees were pollinating, and poor Hubby who suffers horribly from allergies, was sneezing a good amount of the time whenever we were in port.

Now he’s suffering again as here at home we’re going through the pollination season all over again.  Oy, twice in one year!

It’s hard to believe another week is over and it’s the middle of May already!

I’m trying hard to shed the extra pounds I gained on our cruise  I’m down 2.5 and have 3.5 to go.

I have been making it a priority to eat breakfast within 30 minutes of waking up to get my metabolism going.
