I’m so excited that we’ve had the opportunity to use our gorgeous back deck for some parties already this year.  And we have more to come!  We’re actually hosting a party for my husband’s co-workers in mid-July and I’m not ashamed to say I want to make an impression 😉  Finding new recipes that are easy but different is a must.  I recently found a new resource for recipes, and quite honestly it was surprising to me, at P&Geveryday.  Besides recipes of all kinds, they have ideas for family activities, health & wellbeing, your home & garden and beauty tips.  It’s kind of like a one-stop site for life in general!

On May 29th, Hearst Books released 7 Years Younger Instant Makeovers!

It is the latest book in the trusted anti-aging series, 7 Years Younger. The first book, 7 Years Younger, was a New York Times best seller and was backed by Dr. Oz!  The second, 7 Years Younger: The Anti-Aging Breakthrough Diet, has been a runaway hit with readers.

Summer is officially here, and I’m already sipping one of my favorite warm-weather treats—Seattle’s Best Coffee Frozen Coffee Blends.

This northern girl is LOVING that the heat of summer is in full swing here in Texas.  One of the things I’ve been loving about living here is the abundance of fresh produce available all year long and most of it is sold at reasonable prices.

We’ve been eating our fair share of fresh fruit around here.  We love eating watermelon, peaches, pears, bananas, strawberries..well you get the idea. You know what I don’t love though?

“Drive Safely.”  Two words we tend to say to people as they walk out the door. 

25 years ago when I got first got my driver’s license, “Drive Safely” to me meant:

* Don’t put on lipstick at the stop light.
* Keep the music at a decent volume.
* This was not the time to be gabbing with my friends, and
* Watch out for the other driver’s on the road who are doing the above.

Calling all adventure seekers! EARTH TO ECHO opens in theaters on July 2nd —

I’m a big advocator of dental health.  See, my parents had good dental insurance and we always did the 2x a year checkups, but they weren’t sticklers for the brushing 3x a day or the flossing.  So I brushed in the mornings and at nights if I wasn’t “running late” or “too tired.”  Then I graduated high school and suddenly found myself without insurance.  So it was years before I visited the dentist, because I had better things to do with my money, ya know?!  When I got married I was hooked up again with some great dental insurance through my husband’s work and went to to the dentist for a cleaning.

When we moved to Texas middle of July last year, the one thing I knew I was going to miss was my best friend AND her amazing 4th of July parties.

I don’t know a woman out there who doesn’t want healthy, flawless skin.  Many people don’t believe me when I tell them I’m 40.  They say I look so young.  Really, I think it’s my height, because I’m so petite people just naturally gauge me to be younger than I am.  LOOK at my face I say (and my grey hair!), you don’t need a magnifying glass to see the fine lines that are starting to show up.
