Pro Naturals Argan Oil Giveaway

If you remember back in March I did a review on the Pro Naturals Hair Care System.  Included in that kit is a bottle of 100% Moroccan Argan Oil.  It has made a wonderful difference on my hair and I’ve actually also used it on my face as well.

Pro Naturals Moroccan Argan Oil is a leave-in treatment that gently smoothes the hair cuticles and helps fortify hair that is prone to breaking and split ends.

Other benefits of Pro Naturals Moroccan Argan Oil are:

‘The Big Book of Symptoms’ Book Review & Giveaway

Last week I received a media copy of The Big Book of Symptoms: A-Z Guide to Your Child’s Health, in the mail.  Where was this book 18 years ago?! I asked myself as I paged through it.

It’s a fantastic resource for every parent to have on hand.  Whether you’re wondering if you should take your child to the pediatrician for a cough or if you don’t know how to soothe an earache for your child, this book is full of advice of what you can do for your children if they are exhibiting physical symptoms and provides good indicators on when you can relax about the issue, when to make an appointment with your pediatrician or when to vist the ER or call 911.

ICU Eyewear Has Great Readers & Reading Sunglasses for Your Summer Vacation!

I spent my childhood surrounded by sun worshippers. I grew up in the 70s/80s when you didn’t buy lotion for the spf factor but you bought it for the ‘tanning degree’ it would give you.  Yes, that also meant I likely never wore a hat or sunglasses (unless we were trying to act cool) all those years either.

It wasn’t until I was an adult that I learned that increased sun exposure to the eyes may increase the risk of cataracts. Cataract surgery is something I do not want to have to go through!  So now I always make sure that I’m wearing sunglasses when I’m outdoors.

P.F. Chang’s invites you to Spark Something New

Last week, I was contacted to see if I wanted to “Spark Something New” by experiencing some of P.F. Chang’s new menu items that are available in the Dallas/Ft.Worth metroplex.  I must admit we needed a night out – although I was a ‘tad’ bit worried because my husband isn’t the biggest fan of Chinese food – but then I thought, “Heck ya!  It’s time for him to be adventerous, and as the tagline suggests to “Spark Something New.”  This was our first time eating at P.F. Chang’s and we will definitely be back to try out more of the new options.

Fruity Pebbles Apple and Peanut Butter Stackers

fruity pebbles apple stackers

I love Fruity Pebbles.  There I said it.  I am not kidding.  When my sister came to visit with her boys last year she was in my pantry and said “it was so nice of you to buy Fruity Pebbles for the kids for breakfast.”  Umm yeah, okay, I went along with it 😉

It all stems from when I was a kid.  You couldn’t get Fruity Pebbles in Canada (maybe you still can’t?  I don’t know!).  We would do our twice a year shopping trips over the border and my ‘treat’ was a box of Fruity Pebbles.  I would ration that cereal like it was gold.

Grilled Cocoa Pebbles Banana S’mores

S’mores are a favorite summer treat for most everyone, but if you want to switch it up a bit, a great way to do it is to add a banana to the mix.

Now I’m a big fan of bananas in any way, shape or form, but if you’ve never had grilled bananas before the texture might take a while to get used to.  The bananas do get soft, especially if they are at peak ripeness, plus as you probably know bananas get brown when they get warm.
