Summer is all about family and spending quality time with the ones you love. And the more skills you develop the more time you invest in your family and your relationships. First Things First (FTF) is an award winning not-for-profit organization dedicated to strengthening families.
With our daughter heading off to college in just under a month, we’re realizing that even when you think you’ve spent enough quality time with your children…you know you could have spent even more. My husband and my daughter have always been close, she’s definitely a Daddy’s Girl.
While there haven’t been many tea parties in our home between the two of them, there were plenty of light saber fights, Red Riding Hood and Big Bad Wolf encounters, and ‘No Nap’ book readings over the years. He has been her biggest encourager and she has been the delight of his soul over the last 18 years.
In light of that, I found this Daddy/Daughter Relationships video from FTF to be quite cute. I would wish this kind of relationship for every girl and her father. Take a look at it, I think you’ll enjoy it.
Fathers provide unique benefits to their daughters through their active and positive presence from the time of birth all the way through adulthood. I’m so glad that my husband has been that kind of father.
