Being the only member of my family living in the US, I spend a lot of time at the post office.

I didn’t want to let birthdays and holidays slip by without gifts for my nephews, but mailing things for each occasion separately started becoming costly.  It’s the same for them.  In order to mail packages to us it is terribly expensive.

I don’t know if you’ve seen any trailers or commercials for DreamWorks’ new picture being released on June 29th, “People Like Us’”, but it looks like it’s going to be a pretty good movie.

It’s a drama/comedy about a family, inspired by true events, starring Chris Pine (the “young” James Kirk from the new Star Trek) as Sam, a fast-talking sales guy whose latest deal collapses the same day he finds out his father has suddenly died.  As he deals with the estate, he finds out that he has an older sister that he never knew about (Elizabeth Banks), and he’s tasked with delivering an inheritance to her.

I remember after the “honeymoon” bliss being over, feeling a moment of being completely overwhelmed that I was now ‘responsible’ for keeping our new home and family, fed, clean and organized.

We didn’t get a chance to see Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax in the theaters, so I’m excited that the release for the Blu-ray 3D Combo Pack  (and Blu-ray Combo Pack, both sets feature a regular DVD as well) will be coming later this summer so we can view it on our 3D TV at home!  The release date is August 7, 2012.

It’s always interesting to see that in times of crisis we notice those around us that aid, assist and protect.  But those same people work every day to do those tasks, behind the scenes, quietly and unassuming.  Those heroes have names, have families and are often serving in the military.  They do both ordinary and extraordinary jobs, but the impact to our lives whether we know it or not…is immeasurable.
