It’s always interesting to see that in times of crisis we notice those around us that aid, assist and protect.  But those same people work every day to do those tasks, behind the scenes, quietly and unassuming.  Those heroes have names, have families and are often serving in the military.  They do both ordinary and extraordinary jobs, but the impact to our lives whether we know it or not…is immeasurable.

Throughout the month of June, in recognition of the men and women of the U.S. military and their families, Dollar General is teaming up with Procter & Gamble to honor those true Every Day Heroes who have made sacrifices for their families, their communities and their country.

Dollar General truly values these heroes and their experiences and offers many career opportunities for returning veterans.  Dollar General is the winner of the 2011 Military Officers Association of America Distinguished Service Award and was recognized in GI Jobs magazine’s list of Most Military Friendly Employers.

Now you can honor the military heroes in your life and your community:  Dollar General is offering the opportunity to upload a video about your military hero to www.dollargeneral.com/everydayheroes.  If you have a special person in your life that serves/has served in the military I encourage you to upload a video honoring them.
