So I’ve really been enjoying the reviews I’ve been able to do about clothing and accessories here on my blog.  Like most moms, I’m at the bottom of the list when it comes to getting new clothes, and so it’s been a fun thing to be able to pick out some new stuff just for me and then get to share them with you all.

If someone was to ask me if I live a ‘green’ lifestyle, I would probably answer no because it’s not something that I consciously go about doing.  But when I was reflecting on what kind of efforts we as parents have modeled to preserve our environment, I was actually amazed at how much we actually do that is second nature to us every day that we’ve hopefully passed on to our daughter.

When we purchased our home in spring we knew that with it being 26 years old we’d have to do some updating to it, a couple of the things we’ve already done is replaced the garage door and the sink faucets.  

Eventually I’d like to replace the window coverings too, but what’s kind of funny about that is one of the reasons we purchased our home is because it included the blinds and curtains.

As the weather gets chillier we find ourselves seeking cozy refuge inside for warm, delicious food connecting friends and family around the table.  My parents are visiting us right now and between Amber working odd hours and being out and about quick foods are where it’s at right now for me.

I got to tell you folks, one of the best things about living in a large metroplex is the shopping.  Coming from a small city of about 150,000 people and moving to a metropolis of 6 million gives a new perspective on where and what you can buy!

Very close to our home here in North Texas is an awesome ‘outlet’ mall called Grapevine Mills.  You may have heard of it because it’s a premier tourist destination for those that visit the area.
