Triple Chocolate Decadent Cupcakes & Apple Caramel Bars
I was able to try out a couple of the new Duncan Hines Decadent Cake Mixes.
The two recipes I made with the mixes were so easy, and delicious! I’m certain my family gained 5 pounds this week from all these desserts! What makes the recipes using these mixes so superb is the fillings inside. If tastebuds could smile, they’d be beaming after indulging in these sweet treats.

Tropical Traditions Organic Palm Shortening (Giveaway)
I love working with Tropical Traditions. My family has had the chance to experience so many green and healthy products all of which we have been pleased with. This time I was able to try their Organic Palm Shortening. With Christmas baking just around the corner, this is a product that is sure to be used a lot in my kitchen. I usually try and avoid recipes that have shortening in the ingredient list, but no more! So, once again I was busy baking up a storm using the great Tropical Traditions products that I have on hand and I couldn’t be more pleased with the quality of them.
Palm shortening is derived from palm oil. In its natural state, palm oil is a mixture of saturated and unsaturated fatty acids, with most of the unsaturated fat being monounsaturated fat. Palm shortening is

Oh Fudge! No Nuts. No Eggs. No Dairy. Just Delicious!
No Nuts. No Eggs. No Dairy. Just Delicious!
When Lori Sandler’s son Benjamin was diagnosed with severe food allergies to dairy and nuts at a young age, she decided to take action. She had many fond memories of visiting bakeries as a child and wanted Benjamin to experience those same warm moments and treats. And so years after tasting, testing and refining, the Divvies Bakery was born in 2005, a bakeshop dedicated to peanut free, tree nut free, milk free and egg free products. The Divvies Bakery is located in South Salem, New York.
Now I’m blessed that none of my family members has food allergies, but despite that Divvies Bakery products are some of my favorite treats to pick up when we visit Walt Disney World. The bakery on Main Street is where I stop to get Divvies Caramel Corn.
Mini Patriotic Cheesecakes for the 4th of July
Last month for Memorial Day I had posted some recipes from Daymon Worldwide that Chef Kim had created.
Well summer is all about get togethers, and this weekend many of us will be celebrating the 4th of July, and what better way then to make something patriotic to go with the celebration.
Chef Kim has used his skills for two more recipes that you can use at your gathering this weekend, one of them I made last night, and can’t wait to share with my friends!
Tree Top Apple Cinnamon French Toast
When Amber was in public school and Hubby worked weekdays, mornings were so crazy we rarely had time for a hot breakfast. Now that we homeschool, and Hubby is home 5 mornings a week, I’m able to make more than just instant oatmeal and toaster pastries if I want. My family loves French Toast. I don’t make it a lot though because I think it tastes better when I order it in a restaurant! I tried a recipe last week for Apple Cinnamon French Toast from the Tree Top website, and if I do say so myself, it tasted pretty good. The fact that there was none left on the breakfast plates when we were done, makes me think
June is Dairy Month Giveaway!
Celebrate June Dairy Month with dairy farmers all across the midwest! Making sure milk is wholesome and nutrious for your whole family is their #1 priority. June Dairy Month started in 1937, as a promotion to help distribute extra milk when cows started on pasture in the warm summer months. Today, its rich history continues, with communities, companies and people from all over the country observing June Dairy Month in a variety of ways.
Milk and other dairy products are great sources of vitamins and minerals. For years, we’ve heard milk “does a body good,” but research shows that many people don’t fully understand the whole story of the nutritional value found in dairy.
