Innovative Laminator for School and Home Projects
When my Fellowes Saturn2 95 Laminator arrived last week I immediately took it out of the box and started laminating everything in sight! I laminated my Social Security card, my husband’s professional license, and my kids’ memory verses for school, pictures of my kids, recipe cards, etc. Being a home schooling mom, I have found this product to be such a useful tool for protecting many of my teaching aids, enabling us to even write on some of them with dry-erase markers when the need arises, and then wiping them clean when we’re done.

Lincoln – Trailer

A couple of weeks ago I posted that DreamWorks Pictures was releasing a movie called “Lincoln” in November which brings to the big screen the last few tumultuous months of the 16th President’s term in office.

It doesn’t get more fun then doing some science experiments with Mr. Rzykruski, from the new Disney movie FRANKENWEENIE that will debut in theaters October 5th.
Great New Book About Real Homeschool Life – You Can Do It Too!
Before we started homeschooling I really wondered if we could do it. It hasn’t always been easy, there have been plenty of days where we all have been ready to throw in the towel. But we’ve persevered through those challenges and we know coming out the other side that this journey has been worth it for our family.
If you’ve ever had the thought of homeschooling you’ll want to read, “You Can Do It Too! – 25 Homeschool Families Share Their Story” compiled by Lorilee Lippincott, to give you many different families’ perspectives on homeschooling.
Tips for Football Season Math

Football fans everywhere are excited that their favorite teams are back in action. And, according to Laura Overdeck, mother of three and founder of the Bedtime Math national online community, football season is a great time for parents to encourage young football fans to enjoy math.
Several of Laura’s football math suggestions are below.
1. Measure yards. Just about everything in football is measured in yards. The field is divided into 10-yard increments, and passes, runs, and the distance
