When my Fellowes Saturn2 95 Laminator arrived last week I immediately took it out of the box and started laminating everything in sight! I laminated my Social Security card, my husband’s professional license, and my kids’ memory verses for school, pictures of my kids, recipe cards, etc. Being a home schooling mom, I have found this product to be such a useful tool for protecting many of my teaching aids, enabling us to even write on some of them with dry-erase markers when the need arises, and then wiping them clean when we’re done.

It heated up in about 4-5 minutes and even on my first try, the results were beautiful. There were no bubbles in any of my projects. My documents are all safely sealed without the worry of water damage or aging.

It is compact and light, which is great for putting it in tight spaces and storing it in a small house.  It is about 5.5 inches wide at its widest point and only 18 inches long. The cord is long enough to give you some distance from the nearest outlet. It came with 2 packages of 9×11.5” 3ml sheets (10 sheets per package) and one package of Photo Card size 3ml sheets (25 sheets) to get me started, and some very helpful instructions, including instructions on how to clean and maintain the rollers. I did read all the instructions beforehand, but I found that the buttons were really quite self-explanatory.

The Advanced Temperature Control allows for both hot and cold laminating capabilities. When I first plugged in the unit, it automatically went into the cold laminating mode. I find this to be a good safety feature since you have to manually push one of the three pouch thickness buttons to activate the heating element. I have not yet used the cold laminating mode, but hope to buy some sheets and try that feature out soon!

Something I really like about this particular laminator is the HeatGuard Technology, the outside of the machine stays cool to the touch even when it has been in use for quite a while. I didn’t have to worry about one of my kids accidentally touching it and burning themselves, which also meant I didn’t have to try and find a place to use it that’s out of their reach!

I’m hoping it lasts a very long time because it’s a great little machine. I know now that I will
never be without a laminator again. It seems every day I come up with a new use for it, and
wonder how I ever survived without it!
