The Great Purge of 2011

I had a number of New Years Resolutions on my list this year.  

1) Maintaining my weight (so far so good)

2) Drinking more water (doing really well, using the Britta Water app on my iTouch, I’m keeping track and am getting a B grade with my water intake!)

3) Purging unused, unwanted and unnecessary stuff in my home.

How Small Do You Have to Be to Wear an X-Small?

By Jon BellMy sister sent me a $20 gift card to Target for Christmas.  What a sweetie.  She knows that Target is one of my favorite stores to shop at!  So this past Wednesday I spent a couple of hours in the afternoon, doing some shopping for ME, something I don’t tend to do a whole lot of.

I roamed the racks, shocked that most of the winter gear was already on high clearance, I’m not talking 30%, I’m talking racks and racks of 50% and 75% off!  Come on folks it’s just January, and here in the Northern Plains, we’re still looking at a good 9 weeks or more of winter.  When I start seeing shorts and tank tops out in January, I begin to wonder whether every marketer alive lives and works in the Southern States.

A Story of Legal Immigration

With all the time I spend on reviews and giveaways I don’t share many personal things on my blog, but with the political issue of immigration being very prevalent in the media at the moment, I thought I might share my views on it.

I am an immigrant.  A legal one that is.  So how many are thinking now..”Wow her English is very good!”?  That’s because people immigrate from many countries, including Canada. 

My story starts over eleven years ago.  My husband was looking for a new job, and through circumstances that only God could have arranged, found himself interviewing for a position here in the United States.  He was offered the job, but…there was a catch.
