Tassimo Single Cup Beverage System – Giveaway – #BlogEats

var fbShare = {size: ‘small’,}

If there is one thing that I am picky about it’s my coffee.  I can handle sub-par food, but not coffee.  My coffee needs to be just right or I can get kind of crabby about it.  When I was at the BlogEats conference, Kraft had set up a couple of Tassimo machines with assorted hot beverages for us to enjoy with our breakfast.  Yes while the Tassimo is made by Bosch, the T-Discs that you use with the Tassimo system are produced by Kraft Foods (who knew right?!)  Oooh, but then Kraft Foods went one better and shipped one for me to enjoy in my own home…I honestly don’t know who was more excited when it was delivered me or my husband, and he doesn’t even drink coffee!

So what makes the Tassimo different from other single cup brewers?  Well first off all the T-Discs have a barcode on them.

Inside that barcode are precise brewing instructions.  At the touch of a button, the Tassimo reads the barcode, then adjusts the temperature, water volume and brew time…amazing huh?!  What results is a perfect cup, every time.

The first thing I made in my Tassimo was a Cappuccino.  Yes, you can make Cappuccinos with a Tassimo!  You get two different T-Discs when you purchase a Cappuccino package.  One T-Disc will have milk creamer and the other espresso.  You first put the milk creamer T-Disc in and it steams and foams the milk to a perfect temperature and consistency and once that cycle is finished, then you put the espresso T-Disc in and it finishes the Cappuccino off to perfection.  A coffeehouse beverage at a fraction of the price, in the comfort of your home…you can hardly beat that!

Along with the cappuccinos the Tassimo also makes regular coffee, espressos, lattes, cremas, teas and hot chocolate.  If you stop at a coffee shop a lot for speciality drinks such as these, I think you would be pleasantly surprised at how the Tassimo compares.

One thing I wish the Tassimo had was more flavored regular coffees.  So far they only have French Vanilla and Hazelnut in a regular brew, and I do admit to sometimes just wanting a regular flavored coffee rather than a café type beverage.  Other than that I’m happy with the machine, while it’s compact and seems small the water resevoir puts out quite a few beverages before it needs refilling and it’s quite quiet when brewing.

I was invited to participate in a behind-the-scenes blogger conference with the Kraft Kitchens, for which Kraft provided full travel expenses, meals and accommodations and product samples, coupons and premiums, however my opinions are completely my own and I have not been compensated to publish positive or negative reviews of the event or products associated with my experience.

One reader will win a Tassimo T20 Brewer.
