Wheel of Heal Contest & ThermaCare Product Giveaway

You all know I love my coffee.

Sometimes I need it hot.

And sometimes I need it cold.

That can be the way we are with pain relief too, isn’t it?  There are certain injuries and pain that only a cold compress will give us relief.  Other times we need that soothing heat of a hot pack.

Why the Movies Matter – #FandangoFamilyRoom

There can sometimes be a stigma on the entertainment industry as it relates to movies and our children.  It’s often vocalized as: books good, movies bad.  (Despite the fact that so many movies are actually based on books…)  But when your child is a reluctant reader (like mine), movies matter because many of the same things kids learn from books, can be learned from the movies.

Toyota and Teen Vogue Arrive in Style (Giveaway)

Arrive in Style

I have a 17 year old daughter.  That means I’m around a lot of teenage girls.  And while my daughter is not an average teenager (she doesn’t have a cell phone!), I know what other girls her age are doing.  Texting, Instagramming, Facebooking, Tweeting – and unfortunately that often happens while they’re driving.  Because of that Toyota and Teen Vogue developed a safe driving campaign “Arrive in Style,” to raise awareness of the dangers of distracted driving among teenage girls and inspire them to make a mutual commitment with their mothers to drive safely.

Qoileez! Review & Giveaway

As you may or may not have noticed , I’ve been blogging a lot about our upcoming move this year.  We’ve been slowly packing up our boxes, and I want to make sure that everything is done in an organized way.  That’s pretty easy with the basic stuff, but when we started tackling our office space, all the small parts and cords for our tech gadgets looked pretty overwhelming.  Last week I was sent something that is a fabulous idea for keeping all those cords from getting tangled up.

Good Cook Touch Whisks Review & Roast Beef Mozzarella Toasted Sandwich

Every time I see a recipe that requires me to whisk something, I groan a bit inside.  It has something to do with the fact that I hugely lack in upper body strength, and after a few twirls around the bowl my arms are tired.  Sad, I know!
So when I was sent these Good Cook Touch Whisks to review as part of the Good Cook Touch Hunt, I was hoping that they would make whisking easier…

Not Too Late for Mother’s Day ~ Magazines.com Subscription (Giveaway)

One of the biggest resources I use when it comes to my blogging are magazines.  They are by far the biggest source of inspiration for my recipes.  I have amassed a rather large collection of them, and my husband is already trying to get me to part with them before we move.

If you haven’t gotten your mom a Mother’s Day gift yet…it’s not too late!

S’mores Iced Coffee Featuring Maxwell House Single Serve Cups

I grew up in a home full of coffee drinkers and I started drinking coffee when I was 15.  But now I live in a home where I’m the only coffee drinker and brewing a whole pot of coffee (or even half a pot) for little ole me, just doesn’t make sense.  Not because I wouldn’t drink half a pot (or a whole one at that), but because I like my coffee brewed fresh.

And this is my solution…
