Hard to believe it’s July 4th already, isn’t it?!  This is one of my favorite days of the year.  But this year it will be bittersweet. 

For the past number of years now we’ve celebrated the 4th with Amber’s best friend’s family…whose mom also happens to be my bestie as well.  We hang out, the girls do their thing, we eat, we eat some more, then we eat s’mores, and then her husband puts on a fireworks show for us all.

Just 7 more days folks, and then we’re outta here!  This is what my home has looked like for the last 4 weeks.

I can hardly handle one child on a good day!  Can you imagine having 533 biological children?!  Only in the movies right…and so it is!  

In the film, Vince Vaughn plays an affable underachiever looking for his purpose in life, when he finds out he’s fathered 533 children though anonymous donations to a fertility clinic 20 years ago.  Now he must decide whether or not to come forward when 142 of them want to meet their biological father.

If the general public isn’t aware that Back to School is going to be happening for some of us at the end of August, they’ll just have to walk into any retail store in about two weeks and it will be pretty apparent. 

Back to School prep can be time consuming and stressful, we want to be sure that when our kids walk out the door that first day they have everything they need.

Fire up the grill, dust off your hammock and prep your pool because summer is here!

It’s summer.  The kids are out of school.  It’s too hot to be outside, or it’s raining, and they’re complaining they are bored.  Sound familiar?!

I have a solution…take them bowling.  My family loves bowling and it’s a great way to beat the summer heat or get through the rainy days.

At AMF Summer Unplugged each child ages 15 and under registered in the Summer Unplugged program* (Shoe rental not included, but they’re worth paying for.) get two free games every day.

With school out, summer is filled with fun activities and new freedoms for teens, such as driving the family car (or learning to drive!).  However, keeping teen drivers safe from harm can be a big concern for parents, especially with summer being the dealiest time of year for teenage motor fatalities.  That’s why we wanted to share some steps you can take today to help your teens become a safer driver year round.

At the end of May I received an invitation to be a part of the Country Crock Casserole Club.  I was so excited and so honored to be asked to be a part of this.  Casseroles are right up my alley!  And being a part of this club has some fun surprises for my readers too.

Alright so let’s get on with the first casserole challenge.  Let me tell you what Country Crock sent me to work with.
