I’m really finding it hard to believe that it’s already the 13th of October.  I’ve been really busy with the blog, our house, Amber’s schooling and college entrance requirements; most days I’m lucky to be in bed before midnight only to wake up and start all over again.  Which is why I’m looking forward to that extra hour of sleep on November 3rd.  That’s right it’s ‘fall back‘ time – daylight savings.

One of the most time consuming and anxiety ridden things about moving to a new city is finding new health care professionals.  When you’ve had a good rapport with your previous doctor and all of a sudden have to switch and find a new one it can seem overwhelming.  That’s where we find ourselves now 3 months after we’ve moved and are settling in.  My husband needed to get a prescription refilled, and our daughter needs a couple of shots and some stomach issues looked at.

It’s true that many people get anxious when they are told they have to give a speech.  My daughter is one of them?  Are you?  If you were told today that you had to give a speech tomorrow would you seize up in fear or would you eagerly take on the task? 

Either way the book “Secrets of Dynamic Communication” by Ken Davis is a great resource to have on hand.

The CDs on our shelves have grown a bit dusty.  These days we tend to be listening to music in our cars and at home we’ve discovered Pandora.  That way we get a kind of “catch all” of the types of music we like without hearing the same voice over and over.  But a couple of weeks ago I was sent a copy of Natasha Owens’ debut CD “I Made It Through“, and the resultant effect has been that there is little else that I have listened to since.  My partiality to wanting to listen to the CD was two-fold.
